S$C and NIL

1

These guys are bashful and I don't think anyone in the ACC has the money to even keep up with the bottoms feeders like usc, ole miss and even Ark. Outside UM, OHST the Big really doesn't have a school that just goes crazy in the NIL.

Could an ACC team go to the SEC and compete without changing their NIL stance?

Mark my word, Vandy Ole Miss and Miss St will be all in next year in NIL for baseball after 4 schools get to Omaha.

I use to love college for the purity of the game, now it's no different than pro sports and college just go out and get hired guns and crap on all the young kids coming out of HS

It’s way different than pro sports. Most pro sports have a salary cap. Your whole team can’t become free agents at the end of the year. The money is guaranteed up front with zero incentive to produce.
Go watch Coach Gilmore’s last post game presser from the regional championship game. He hit the nail on the head when explaining what NIL and open transfers were doing to college sports and the fact that he wouldn’t miss those aspects of the game one bit. He said if you took the MLB, NFL, and the NBA; and allowed everybody in every team to become free agents after every year, then the leagues would cease to exist. MLB would have 4 teams that would win every year. Dodgers, Yankees, Red Sox, and Rangers. Every other team would be priced out of the market and pillaged every season.
We are watching the NCAA’s major sports devour themselves right before our eyes.

I'm just about done with watching college sports.

I agree but even before NIL it was a perceived and not a real purity

That's what happens when money becomes the top priority.***

Once again, you are just plain wrong. There is no possible way anyone could have watched our game with Florida Sunday afternoon and even thought of NIL. Once any game starts, it is the same game it always has been. There are many more important things to think about than NIL, so accept it and watch the great football, soccer, basketball and baseball games our Tigers will have starting this year.

You have to realize that this is just the beginning - wait four years and see where this goes without some restrictions and enforcement

It's a shame the younger a generation the less likely they are to perceive the future with the time available to benefit them while the older are able but only to leave a hopeful legacy.
