Wofford basketball has a history of successful teams and great coaching. They are the real deal in CBB and never to be taken lightly.
Go Tigers!!!

I’m by no means a BB apologist, but I have actually been encouraged for the first time in a couple of years. I would have fired him like 7 years ago. He seems to have recognized at least some of his issues. It could just be Pete calling the games, but who knows. He seems to be playing bigger guys a little longer before reverting to an all <6-7 mid major/NIT lineup.

I also don’t have any patience for any whining about bigger guards on these teams because we all know Brad could have had any of these guys on either team we’ve played if he wanted.

Teams from power conferences should never lose to smaller schools.

In most seasons, November ball is meaningless. This season, even less so with all the new pieces that every team has. That you can win those November games IS a big deal. Not saying they'll continue to win, but someone said "winning is hard." Indeed. So any win is a cause for celebration. But, go ahead, kvetch. It's entertaining, if not edifying.

You could see Coach B toying with his lineup tonight to get them into some "opportunities for growth" situations. Like taking both PGs out of the game just before the half--we ended up scoring 2 points on 3 shots on 6 possessions before he brought Honor back in. That experience was a luxury that was purchased by Hall's outstanding first half. Without it, we wouldn't have had the double-digit lead and the opportunity to test out our roster. Most fans would prefer that we keep the double-digit lead so we can feel better about ourselves, but Coach B knows that a 2-point win counts just as much as an 18-point win. Why win by 18 when you can win by 8 and still try out some new combinations along the way? Those moments pay dividends later.

Guess you missed ElCid beating Pitt or FU beating Louisville this week? Both losses at home to SoCon teams. Perhaps commenting on a sport you don’t really follow or understand is not a good idea?

I have been very critical of Clemson basketball recently.

Being totally satisfied with perenial 7th place finishes is a huge problem for me. Winning tight early season games against PC and Wofford (especially Wofford) is not a problem at all. In fact, I am encouraged by these wins for this team. You never know how the season will play out, and these wins could be important, in more ways than one, down the road.

There are things to work on.
Turnovers were bad. Especially the passes where someone cut and it went out of bounds or to the other team.
Free throws weren't great. If we did better from the line the game would not have been close at the end.
It looked like an early season game.
At least there wasn't a 10 minute scoring drought.
