Joe Pinner was the glass is full and tasted good person. He brought a smile to my face as both a kid and an adult.
Met him in person only once and the sunny personality he demonstrated on TV was just as real that day.
RIP Joe Pinner

Watched as pre-schooler...maybe later as 6, or 7 can't remember. Moved away. I assumed he was long dead.

remember seeing him when I was young on WIS from Sumter.
####...haven't thought of him in years.
I'm not old (early 50s), but we are all getting there. Each day it seems, ppl in your past fade away.....

Well known by many and seemed to be always smiling. Many, many kids grew up watching him.

I went on his show when I was about 5 or 6. His boys also used to bowl with us in a league around 1969 or 70. RIP Mr Knozit.

Sad to hear Joe passed. He always seemed to be a really good guy. I appeared n his midday show in the early 80's, along with two friends, discussing the Beatles influence on music and culture.

his bouyant personality was real...nothing put on about him.
For two years, as a Board Director, I was in charge of the Miss Columbia Pageant and worked with Joe a good bit on both. He was never one of those holier-than-thou types, always humble yet uplifting. I also remember the loud cheers of the crowds when he'd appear in various parades, so he was beloved throughout our community...a true icon.
