and every ESPN channel with a “day pass” from Sling TV for $5.99. No commitment or contracts. I’ve used it the last few weekends and it’s been great.

...and it's literally a 24-hour pass. Buy it right before the game and you'll have it for tomorrow afternoon's games, too.

Sounds like a great option. I'm happy with my choice to add Disney +

which includes all ESPN channels, Hulu, and Disney+, for $29.99/month, cancellable at any time. YouTube, of course, is refunding $20.00/month.

Above all else, love and forgive. Understand that people who disagree with you are not necessarily idiots or your enemies. Respect the wisdom of the founding fathers and individual rights and freedoms. Always see the beauty and humor in life.

Same for me except I cancelled YTTV as I had no use for the non sports channels.

I did this years ago and only subscribe to anything during football season. Subscription TV is no longer for me. I wish Clemson would create their own streaming service with all their sports.

These media pseudo-monopolies and their exclusive content deals are just bad for consumers. Heck, even the networks supplying most of the content no longer get a cut of the money. Only owning server farms and employing nasty lawyers apparently creates divisible property rights these days. It will be interesting to see how Google fights back here - as they DO own a lot of the server farms and a sizeable chunk of the internet routing infrastructure. Disney is screwing Google the same way Google screwed the telecom companies 20 years ago. Net neutrality part deaux.

You're playing right into Disney's hands.

Disney/ESPN jacked up their rates on DISH and Sling in 2022, caused DISH and Sling to go without for awhile until they caved.

https://www.sportspro.com/broadcast-ott/ott-and-digital/dish-espn-disney-sling-carriage/

"Dish accused Disney of walking away from the negotiating table after demanding a US$1 billion increase in the fee paid for the carrier.

Disney jacked up their rates on DirecTV in 2024, caused DirecTV to go without for awhile.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/14/business/disney-directv-deal-abc-espn

DirecTV filed a complaint Saturday with the Federal Communications Commission alleging Disney did not negotiate in good faith as the two sides remain at an impasse on a distribution deal.

“Disney has violated the FCC’s good faith mandates by predicating any licensing agreement on DIRECTV’s waiving any legal claims on Disney’s past, current, or future anticompetitive actions, including its ongoing packaging and minimum penetration demands,” a DirecTV spokesperson told CNN on Sunday.

In the 10-page complaint, DirecTV claimed the negotiations stalled because, “Disney insists on bundling and penetration requirements that a federal district court judge in New York recently found in the context of the ‘Venu’ joint venture to be unlawful, anticompetitive, and ‘bad for consumers.’”

Disney owns Hulu and Fubo, and they WANT to force you onto their platforms.

Also, this week, you don't have to add the sports package for the extra $1 since we are on ESPN (last week we were ACCN which was an additional charge). So it's $4.99.

You can get a weekend pass for about $10 ish, or a whole week for about &15. It’s a great fill in because I personally like YouTube and don’t wanna completely change services. I got a lot of shows previously recorded and like their layout with multi view.

Same for me. I live YTTV and went through a time when I was trying all of them to see which one I might prefer. I have Sunday Ticket and love the multiview. 2 garage tv’s so plenty of game action.
