I remember when Chrome Dome Foundbloom said on his TV show that "Clemson is now the premier program in college football" after we whacked Bama in 2018. Seems like a distant memory.....

Many forget, we had some very good times pulling for Danny Ford, Homer Jordan, Jeff Davis, Bubba Brown, Fridge, Rodney Williams and so many more back in the day ... without any allusions Clemson Football was morally superior to all other college programs.

What I'm saying is Clemson alumni and fans owe Dabo Swinney a huge debt of gratitude. He was one of a kind. He went against the grain and beat the system with a sincere Dudley Do-Right family approach, and in his own way, outworked and out-thought some other great coaches, including Spurrier and even the great Saban twice.

But Clemson fans will happily return to and support a Danny Ford-style coach, more dedicated to football than family and church. And if the next coach wins, Clemson fans will support him with glee and abandon while always maintaining their respect for Dabo Swinney.
