Before anyone starts I understand how Dabo has built Clemson but imho he has dropped off when picking his starters. I hear in all press conferences how he uses “He is Special “ for various players when question is asked to him. He made this comment and I heard it myself. I for one have a hard time now believing some comments. I told coworkers if he does not start the Cade week before the Gamecock’s game we get beat. I say the same tonight with UNC. Cade is more mobile, more accurate and can find a open target. If he takes off and runs he will not just pick up a first down but could take it the length of the field. I feel as though Dabo is afraid to start him due to the chance he lights up the opposition defense and those Clemson fans on here and everywhere will be saying what the heck ?. If he waits until next season he can say hey he is ready now. He made a mistake and knows it. How many plays has Cade ran, anyone? He blowed Cades red shirt for that. I hope Cade stays, we need him. If DJ stays I feel we will lose the QB coming in as well as Cade. I hope I am wrong. Go Tigers

Not a Clemson fan ?. Man you guys take take criticism. Coaches can’t either as I hear it. I am just tired of talent being wasted with substandard coaching. How else do you explain a running game working and totally go away from it last a Saturday. Please enlighten us on how you were happy with it.

Not unhinged if you think the backup can be better and get the offense moving to keep the defensive off the field. If anyone thinks a Saban or Smart would not have made a change your wrong. Team should come first, not what is occurring at QB this year. Heck, let them alternate quarters and see with starters. No he put him in against ND at the 5 yard line. What the heck. One may be great at practice and one is a game day winner. One for sure is not a game day winner. I am sure he is a great kid and teammate but playing at the level to beat a Georgia or Alabama we need more than that. Gamecock’s ain’t squat yet him not willing to make a change cost a home winning streak to a team anyone would wish not be the one to end it.

I dont care if DJ is Joe Freaking Montana in practice, he is awful in games and we have 2 full seasons of evidence to support it. But yes, lets keep trotting out the guy that isnt getting it done because "practice".

NO ONE is happy with the QB play. But dissing something that was said 2 seasons ago when at that time all DJ had done was set records at ND is weak at best.
So is all the positive stuff being said about Cade junk too? DJ hasn’t lived up to his billing or even close but acting like those things shouldn’t have been said prior to the 2021 season is just ridiculous.

Cade is definitely more mobile but he has NOT proven he is accurate or can find an open target AT ALL.

I guess you missed that 2 point pass against Syracuse ? and on the move. Our receivers getting thrown under the bus for 3 drops. They were probably shocked DJ actually tossed one within reach.

Hey! i concur with 90% of your thoughts and yes Cade is really in that he sparks the team and would only improve with the amount of time on the field..
while DJ has reached his ultimate level which doesn't cut it!
Something is bad wrong with Dabo & Street sticking to a lame horse while they have a young stallion on the bench.

When Dabo made those comments prior to the start of the 2021 season I think most Clemson fans felt the same way. Pretty easy to rip those comments after watching the last 2 seasons. Pretty weak attempt to get to the top of the I told you so club.

Not been on this site very long mostly been reading for years. Not a weak attempt or a attempt at all. You go ahead and ride the DJ train tonight and make sure you come back Sunday. I don’t need a crystal ball to see he can’t handle pressure. He was fine when Trevor was the man but once he was told it’s you’re team DJ and Georgia messed his head up last year he can’t deal with pressure in the pocket or in his head. If Cade starts we win if not we don’t and it sucks. If Dabo has it they spilt playing time with first team we will see whether I and other are wrong or the natives here are. Cade came in early at Clemson so if he is not ready Streeter is at fault but he can’t be worse imho no darn way.

Well you’re not reading very well. I’m not on the DJ train. I’m also not on the Monday morning QB train. Anyone can look back and see issues.
And you must not be on here much or you would know I’m always easy to find. So if you get your wish to say I told you so Sunday I’ll be right here on my way home from Charlotte.
