So, retired folks have nothing better to do sometimes than waste time on worthless projects and mine this morning was to look at the schedules of the top ranked teams. I didn't look at BYU or Iowa State because 1 or the other will win the Big12 and be in the Playoffs and Boise has the inside track for the G5 spot so I looked 10 teams.

Of the ranked teams, neither #1 Oregon nor #5 Miami play any ranked teams and have the easy roads. Georgia, Penn St and Ohio State have the toughest roads with 2 games each against ranked teams. Texas, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and Indiana all play 1 ranked team. Bottom line, it will be several weeks before the Playoff picture is clearer but based on schedules and where teams are ranked now, there may not be much movement in the Playoff rankings.

Interesting and thanks for the info. I have not looked at the schedules, but am thinking of the schools listed several have to play each other Ohio St plays PSU and Indiana, while UGA plays Tenn and Tx plays TA&M.
