Every ACC team hosting a regional, got a #2 seed SEC team assigned to them...
Zero SEC teams hosting a regional got a #2 seed ACC team assigned to them (Duke and WF were #2 seeds going elsewhere)!
Nothing to see here!

Actually for us I think Coastal Carolina is our 2 seed but otherwise you are correct in saying they made sure to pair most SEC schools in ACC regionals the only SEC school that got an ACC school is UGA paired with GT

CofC 41-14 with 42 RPI. Won their conference. Got passed up for:
Florida - 28-27 with 30 RPI
Georgia Tech - 31-23 with 49 RPI
Texas - 35-22 with 47 RPI
Oregon - 37-18 with 52 RPI

I believe Wake and Duke are okay where they got sent...especially Wake. Wonder if Duke didn't put in a bid to host at Durham Bulls park? They play games there occasionally, and the Bulls are on the road now, and don't return home until next Tuesday

Would Clemson with at 28-27 and 30RPI record with even an above 500 conference record get an invite? Only the SEC/ESPN can get away with that.

Clemson was 35-23 with 39 RPI.
The NCAA Committees stopped being bashful and just started stacking post seasons with SEC. Especially noticeable since 2020.
In 2024, they put 8 SEC teams in the basketball tournament to combine for a worst 8-8 .500 record and only 2 of their teams made it past the 32.
They just put 11 SEC teams in the baseball tournament. 8 ACC, 6 Big 12.

so Duke had no hosting spot available to put in a bid. Their home ballpark evidently not NCAA-tourney quality.
