Are we being owned by the effing Gamecocks in this cycle? I am NOT in the loop, I haven’t kept up with it like I used to a long time ago. The reason I ask is because I see this narrative everywhere and I can’t believe it. The loss of momentum all over the program is self inflicted. I can’t believe we let that POS program beat us last year with a PORTAL QB. That UGA game in 21’ was really the end. It’s going to take some serious self reflection from the man that made Clemson what they are to get back to what we were.

In the state of SC for OL? Yes they have owned us. Now that the state is done let’s see how they recruit to fill out the rest of their class. We are in on a lot of out of state guys. We’ll see how it shakes out by the end of the season. I still believe that we’ll end up with a top 10 class or at that 12-8 range. They go and land more Nicholas Harbor type guys then we just have to tip our cap.

Haha I wouldn’t say they are doing better yet. They didn’t our recruit us last year and they still may end up behind us by signing day this year. I wouldn’t be counting my chickens before they hatch. Pun intended.

"Beating" someone at recruiting in April is like claiming a victory for winning the coin toss....
That sounds EXACTLY like something South Carolina fans would do.
They have bragging rights, for sure. But their single victory of the decade, by one point, caused our starting QB to be benched and was one of the final nails in the coffin for Streeter.
Time to get back to the standard.

There are more than a few factors that go into the recruiting decision, but the biggest one might be that CU is so incredibly selective with their offers. Several USC recruits have joined their friends at that school.
Beamer, like him or not, is selling a vision for their program. It's path is very different from that of Clemson, but the end result is similar. The appeal of growing into a man while playing football is different from the comparatively "hype"-oriented approach that Beamer employs.
Some kids like the "city" aspect of the campus (though I can't fathom why) instead of the relative isolation found at Clemson.
USC does have the allure of "SEC" whether we consider it a good smell or not. Their International Business program is very highly rated.
All that being said, USC does have a higher decommit and transfer rate. It is a much more volatile program and is subject to more rapid changes in highs and lows.

Any momentum they have will slow to a screeching halt over the next season or two. I believe we will beat the brakes off of them in Columbia this year, and as always when the coots are riding high; they will have some horrible losses that they shouldn’t have (even though it won’t surprise us because they always do that).
Little Beamer isn’t Spurrier. Let’s see how great their offense looks with the ARK TE coach running the show.

Dude they beat us one time. And being brutally honest, it had EVERYTHING to do with Clemson rather than them or even Rattler. Rattler played well I’ll admit, but we don’t lose that game if there had been adjustments made prior to that game.
Cade should’ve had at least a few games as a starter, Williams should’ve caught the punt, DJ shouldn’t have thrown 29 #### passes (8-29), and we should have leaned on Shipley and DJ’s run game from the beginning with Shipley needing a little more than 15 carries.
It won’t change recruiting. It won’t make Shane Beamer rise to Dabo’s level.
If they continue to beat us and beat us undoubtedly, then you may start concerning yourself more.
