Does anyone know why Dabo was so quick to call timeout with 50 seconds and 2nd and goal at the end of the half? I thought he would've let the play clock run down to 1 then call time out. Still would have given us plenty of time to score and Auburn wouldn't have had time for any plays. He was probably more interested in making sure our offense was on the same page because we had to have that score. Interested to hear y'alls thoughts

Yea why? That's what teams normally do but I think the circumstances for us warranted a time out so it was a good move by Dabo. Let's not act like he hasn't made mistakes before with clock management lol

I think you're right. With a new QB and lots of new guys on the field he wanted to make sure everyone got the same call and knew what to do. Probably wanted emphasize ball security too.

That's what I tend to think. Plus I bet Dabo didn't care how much time was left because Auburn wasn't going to score anyways lol

A lot of inexperienced guys on the field. Suppose Dabo wanted to ensure we made the most of the scoring opportunity at a critical point in the game, right? Seriously doubt Dabo was only talking about the next play, but the next three plays in case KB was stopped short of the goal line. If he was stopped short, expect the next play would have been a quick line up and run the clock under 10 seconds before attempting a pass play, then a FG attempt if incomplete. Just a guess.
