Anyone think Kellen Jones will be shooting up the depth charts? How was his spring game performance? Rank these LBs:

someone posted an interesting article about linebackers here yesterday. you may want to search it and read it if it didn't trigger your question. sounds like you'd find it interesting. sorry I can't remeber anymore about it than that.
I do think Jones is the real deal and will play a key role on this team's D

Anthony & Steward were both highly rated coming out of high school, but Shuey has been the only one that has made any real impact to date IMO.
I'm hoping Steward can get/stay healthy and Anthony can earn more PT as well as gain some valuable experience.

IMO...Kellen Jones will be 2nd string but see significant playing time. Very encouraged by what I've seen from him and his attitude. Shuey, Anthony, and Christian will probably start even though I dont think Christian deserves the start. He will eventually fade into the background as other players gain experience.
I'm high on both B.J. Goodson and Tony Steward now that hes finally healthy. They both will see the field and be a regular part of the rotation. Stewards ceiling is extremely high but he needs to play to regain confidence. Goodson is and always has been underrated but is an old school hard hitting linebacker.
Look for Dorian O'Daniel at Strong Safety and not LB. I think he could eventually be the starter there but not right away. All in all, I'm high on our LB rotation for years to come.

This projection is all based on assuming everyone is healthy...
Steward or Shuey, Jones
Anthony, Shuey, Goodson
Jones, Christian or O'Daniel
Im not very high on Christian. I mean show me a highlight reel of his production over the last few years. Other than that interception against FSU a couple years ago. He can easily be forgotten.

Alot like Mallaciah Goodman was, you can depend on him to not make many mistakes, but not make alot of plays either. Christian is a playmaker or play giver-upper just a real solid average player. I would want him on my team but we got other guys at LB who have way more talent and potential to be great great playmakers... and you know how great players together make each other better

No our most consistent LB over the last years was definitely Tig Willard, don't know what planet you were on lol. Just cause he plays so much doesn't mean he's consistent.

Yeah, I can't disagree with that. Quan is the most consistent of the returning LBs. He's done nothing to earn contempt and I'd be surprised if he doesn't start. Always knows what he's doing and performs at a high level, imo.

I agree with you to a degree... but we have other LBs that have the same skill set as Christian and with higher potential to be game changers. Thats my only argument there. If we want to be BCS NC contenders, a SR shouldnt start over a Freshman or Soph just bc of Seniority, the best player should play regardless, if thats Christian then great!
