not true... both played 3 years and Clowney had 24 sacks vs. VB at 21. Clowney also had way more solo tackles, assists AND tackles for loss. More forced fumbles as well.
Clowney was also twice voted All-American (once unanimously), was all-SEC for all three years and finished 6th in the heisman voting his Sophomore year.

Though Clowney started every game since he has been at South Carolina. I'm going to assume that they have played a similar amount of snaps. Advantage Clowney.

That's not right at all. Beasley has played the DE position for 2 seasons, 2012 and 2013. He had 8 sacks in around 250 snaps in 2012. Not sure how many he had this year but I would guess 450 or so and he had 13 doing that. I would be willing to bet Clowney has played at least 350 or more snaps at the DE position in2011-2013.

I was disparaging Clowney for taking so many plays off. I'm well aware the Beast was played significantly fewer snaps at the DE position. Maybe even in this one year. Can't wait to see what he looks like after this offseason.

just looked it up. Vic played 373 snaps this season. he's played roughly 615 snaps at the DE position in his career. I bet Clowney has played at the very least 250 to 300 more snaps than him.

It's likely

That clowney didn't play as many snaps actually. He was not a starter his freshman season and 2012 was when lawing used the second string line every two defensive series. Not to mention, and I'm not bashing Clemson by this, but south Carolina's defense was better and had a lot more three and outs too then. Therefore less plays for him to be on the field in the first place.

the only snap totals I can find on Clowney... through5 games this season and 272 total defensive snaps at that point Clowney had played in 213 of them. I'd venture to bet that Clowney has at least 400+ more snaps than Beasley has had at the position.

Clowney was the starter his Frosh year.

And if he wasn't he was still on the field 90% of the time. Clowney also bitched and cried enough that they let him line up wherever he wanted and he still couldn't do anything this season. Clowney has had a DECENT career, but it's definitely nothing to jizz over. Beasley was 10x the player Clowney was this season and he's 50lbs lighter..

When he gets in the NFL and realizes that there aren't any easy teams and that you actually have to work to get better, he'll be out faster than JaMarcus Russell.
Vic on the other hand has great work ethic and will more than likely be a star if he gets on the right team.

Or instead of pointing out Wake Forest, you could - you know, point out how Vic dominated UGA's LT and Clowney pretty much got shut out of the game. I would think that's relevant.
But you wouldn't do that, because you're a moron.
