Him and Mark Richt are buttbuddies. Pruitt was a HS asst coach at Fort Wayne HS and he took a group of recruits over to ThUGA, where he fell in love with Richt.

My stepfather is a Nole. He's not connected or anything, but follows their boards.
He told me the money wasn't a problem for FSU, but UGA may have offered more time on his deal.

FSU matched offer. FSU already had a pretty legit D when he took over. Granted, they were next level this year, but still. UGA has been a bit soft on D for a few years now and has been going through coordinators like a fat kid goes through a bag of doritos. Pruitt knows if he can turn their D around it will mean lots of visibility and respect. I think this was a calculated career move for Pruitt.

The crazy thing is his salary
He went from 140K asst to 450K DC to 950K
Sounds like a good deal, even better when you realize it was over 4 years
Not bad example of climbing the corporate ladder
