RB1 in 2024?

I know to start off the year Jay Haynes is the ideal RB1(if he’s healthy enough). But is Gideon Davis or Henderson seen as a potential suitor for that RB1 spot? Or anyone else on the roster (or portal if they decided to go that route)

Davidson will be our best RB, but as usual...for the starting role it'll be decided how quickly he picks up the offense and blocking. I expect him and Eze to be the guys and hopefully get Henderson involved. I like Haynes, but his only big game was Citadel. Green can be an asset as well

Georgia had no problem playing a true freshman Nate Frazier against us and he went for about 11 carries and 80+ yards.
No reason why Gideon shouldn't get some touches against LSU.

Yeah and that's GA, I'm not saying it can't happen, I'm saying what Dabo has been known for his entire career. Spiller has been the only one to step in right away, took Etienne half the season before they turned him loose over Feaster.

Mafah had several big games before the shoulder injury. Haynes was the #2 all year, but didn't have any flash plays until Citadel.

One of my friends that I played high school football with has been a DC in Virginia for the past 5+ years. He said he coached against Gideon Davidson and he is the best RB he’s ever seen at the high school level. Also noted that he was great on defense too and loves contact.
I trust my buddy’s opinion and think Gideon will be an impact player sooner rather than later.

I dont think we will portal one with the Adam Randall move.
Should be a healthy open competition that ends up with a RB by committee approach which I think will be best. Mafah was best coming in tandem with Shipley. Don't need just one guy toting the rock

Henderson may switch over to DB. He played both in HS… but I mean… it would be a shame to not let someone as fast and twitchy as him get a shot at it! But I think Davidson is going to become a freak of nature in time.

Put the best on the field. Frazier the UGA true freshman got 11 carries for 88 yards against us in 1st game.
