RB ROOM DEPTH

The RB room depth was on display today.
EZ had a great 30 yard TD breaking the legs of #5 on the way to the end zone.
Streko had a great afternoon and NEEDS to be recognized in this RB room. Kid arguably has the best, vision, feet, hands and patience letting the blocks develop. Super quick getting up field. A nose for the end zone.
A PWO but so was Hunter Renfro.
Keith Adams had some great flashes today. A real old school Fullback type guy. Biggest smile on the field.
IMHO.. the Randall experiment should end. LOVE Adam but he is Not a RB, runs straight up and is easy to spot at 6'3 in the backfield.
The new guy Gideon D has a long way to go. In given time he may be a good one but today very slow to read the hole and not a between the tackles guy. If they use him in space, swing passes or wheel routes against an LB can be a mis match.
ALL IN all. Great day in the Valley for the RB room.

A year ago we thought the WR room was a weakness and I'm thinking our RB room will follow a similar trajectory this upcoming season.

As history would suggest, the spring game always has an unknown hero step up at RB, only to disappear in the fall, while the guy we heard the least about, is named the starter. This is Swinney ball.

Unless someone separates it’s gonna be extremely difficult to make it back to the CFP. I was hoping to hear Gideon was the new ETN.

until Jeff Scott leaked that he was banging out 70-yarders in practice against the first-team defense. Even then we had to see for ourselves against Louisville when he had his coming out party and landed the starting job. There have been similar rumblings about Gideon Davidson, and the coaches have remained pretty tight-lipped about the kid, with the players all singing his praises.

You understand the game and I agree %100 with you.the Randall experiment really does need to end.2 plays the ko return vs smu and the 1 40 yd run vs tex doesn't mean you are a running back.

Comparing Streko against 3rd and 4th team defense and Davidson against 1st team defense isn’t even close.
Streko will see the field…in warmups. Davidson is going to push for playing time, especially if Jay Haynes isn’t fully healthy.
I can see someone hitting the portal this spring. It’s a crowded room.
