Genuine boomer. Just do not get it it. No hard feelings. Give me the Spinners, Marvin Gaye, the O'Jays, Hall and Oates, Al Green, Earth, Wind & Fire, Parliament and the Funkadelics. Is Lamar still popular?

Well anyway, what will happen in 2nd half? Will the Chiefs lie down or fight back?

This game is getting ugly. And I don’t know most celebrities these days. But I know music when I hear it and that was boring.

My generation grew up on rap music. It's just different times.

What generation? I grew up when rap was it's most popular. Late 90s early 2000s. It was still niche. It's why r&b have their own charts. I don't think there's been a generation who grew up on rap.

Rap music has been mainstream for both millennials and gen X. Rap music has their own chart just like country music has it's own chart, but for the last 20 or so years rap has shown up on the hot 100 every bit as frequently as any other genre. It's not the fringe genre it was in the 70s and 80s anymore.

It's definitely not mainstream. Even during the time of Tupac and Biggie, pop dominated it. Grunge and rock did too. No rapper appeared in the top 15-20 in popularity. Today, Lamar pales in popularity to people like Swift.

Rap is 100% mainstream. If you listen to ANY top 40 station or even popular music channel on Spotify you get Taylor swift, Charlie XCX, then you get rappers mixed in like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Megan thee stallion, Nikki Minaj, Travis Scott…. Etc. Someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about…..

I agree with you. I don’t care for most of it and don’t understand it but I don’t hate it. Music is always changing and is generational. I didn’t like the music my mom grew up with from the 50’s. I love me some 70’s and 80’s music but I’m open to almost anything except country.
I’m loving seeing the chiefs getting blown out. I’m sick of them.

I agree with the artist you mentioned they were awesome
But this guy, he didn’t fit the bill for Super Bowl in America. There was no excitement in the performance, but of course that’s just my opinion. Go Eagles.
