Question regarding the Polls

Considering the match ups for this weekend, could it be possible that with a win over Ga Tech we could jump as many as 5 spots?

not with their record so far. GT is regarded as weak rightly or wrongly

rightly or wrongly??? GT is horrible. They may as well not even field a defense. You do know that they just finished getting pole axed by mighty MTSU don't you?
This game will be less challenging than a scrimmage for the Tigers.

If the Tigers play a complete game and really make a statement, which they are capable of doing, and this game ends up being over over early, then we move up substantially in the polls.

I'd rather stay in the shadows myself. Polls don't mean much right now.

Considering there are a bunch of teams ahead of us playing tough games (a few games are two teams ahead of us) if we win I think we jump a minimum 4 spots.

I don't think a loss Sec team will fall to far unless they get blowed out.

I surely hope not. Nothing worse than making a team think/feel better than they are right now. Follow the coots if you want a #5 ranked team. And watch the butt hurting they have when they fall from #5 to 15 after this weekend. Goooo Dawgssss. And collect some of our rent while you there. And buy your Dawgs a big bone for ###### those Hen's in that chicken house in cootlumbia....

Good question and short answer, yes!!

It is possible, but I believe Georgia must beat SC, we jump them, Miami beat ND, we jump them, LSU beat Florida, we jump them, WVU or Texas loss and we jump them, Ohio St loses to Nebraska and we jump them...That is 5 spots and no matter who we play this weekend as long as we WIN we jump all those for sure IMO We also move ahead of Oregon St if they fall to Washington St which is very possible and that means we would move ahead 6 spots... Huge weekend because this is a perfect storm that has to transpire in order to push us back to the national stage!!
I just want to send the Jackets back to Atlanta with an L
Go Tigers!!

That's just what made me ask the question! There's plenty at stake here.

I think max would be us jumping a team ranked 9 or lower

Think a team ranked 8th or higher, unless they get destroyed, or lose a team that they have no business losing to, will fall to right in front of us.
GT win at home won't carry much clout so any movement would be from attrition.

SEC teams will get favor

I think that USuC losing to Ga. will only drop them 3 places at the most. If Ga. loses to USuC they will only drop 3 as well. Althoughit is possible for us to move back into the top 10 we won't pass either of the SEC teams b/c the media ain't gonna let it happen. Too much hype for the SEC. Which of course blows
