OK, I have my phone alarm set for 12 noon Wednesday to watch our Tiger BB team to get some get back on NC State. If I had a choice to beat them in regular season or in the ACC tournament, I would chose both, but, if I could only be granted one win, it would be in the ACC tournament Go Tigers!!!

Question. Suppose one were to put $100 ...

in and bets Clemson wins the ACCT. At +5000, does that mean you win $500,000.00 IF they win the ACCT ?
Now, this is just a fun question. And we all know that gambling is illegal ... but I guess if you live in Nevada it would be legal. Don't want to take away from the purity of the Sport. But just for fun ...

You'd win $5,100. Still not such a bad payday...

Buy NAY !, I said ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS hypothetically

+5100, does that not mean 5100*1 per hypothetical dollar wagered ?
Thus, if one were to hypothetically "bet" 100, that would be 100*5100, and the payout would then be $510,000.00

Those odds are always in terms of betting $100

+X means you bet $100 to win X while -X means you bet X to win $100.
Examples:
+5000 = bet $100 to win $5000 (plus your initial bet of $100 for a total payout of $5100)
+100 = even money, bet $100 to win $100
-250 = bet $250 to win $100

Not being someone that would actually bet money on anything bc gambling ='s risking what little I do have, and that has never made good sense to me but, I think that your arithmetic could be right, pretty close anyway. But let me warn you, don't do it, just send me the $100, I could put it to better use than what a bookie would, and if you bet that we win the ACCT, I honestly believe the bookie would put your $100 in his/her pocket!!!

Gambling is a sin and besides, I don't live in Nevada which is the only State I think its legal in. Does Southwest have cheap flights to Las Vegas ? I would think they do...

These futures are almost always terrible bets to make

The juice on them is incredible in comparison to a regular ATS bet where you typically get -110. This is even more true once you get past the handful of favorites like UVA, Duke, and UNC.
Look at the comparison of KenPom odds vs what Vegas is offering
Clemson - Vegas offering 50-1, vs KenPom odds of 125-1 NC State - 66-1 vs 200-1 Miami/ND - 200-1 vs 2,500-1/5,000-1 GT - 250-1 vs less than 10,000-1
etc

Dang I wish we could have won a couple of those close games we lost . 21-10 11-7 looks a whole lot better than 19-12 9-9

I think there are good many teams that feel that way.

I don’t think there are many teams that lost 2 games in a row by 1 Or many teams up by 7 with less than a minute and lost.

That's great news. I just put a 2nd mortgage on my house, emptied my savings, and sold all of the stock I have, and loaded up on the Tigers. I parlayed it into winning the National Title as well. I love our chances. I think we have this. Zion is going down.
