No names but the number would be about the same as every other school. There are far too many definitions of "missed on" for any answers but there is no expectation that every player signed will be a star.

Korn & DJ are probably going to be the popular answers.
DJ wasn't cut out to be elite and failed to meet our expectations OKST was thrilled when he produced the exact same results. Korn was misdiagnosed by our doctors.
Not saying they shouldn't be on the list though. Just not at the top.

Old Swag may have been a miss due to attitude but he didn't lack the talent. He wasn't going to beat out DW4 though.

When Korn was at Byrnes I got to watch him and I told people then he was overrated. Just like Boyn receivers made him look good. Not accurate at all. Made people mad at me back then saying that.

In fairness to Korn, he did mess his shoulder up. Can’t argue with Swag. Dj and Hunter Johnson were both the top QB in their class according to some, neither performed to that level. Billy Luckie is another dude that was a recruiting superstar by never panned out.

I wondered if anyone would mention Billy Luckie. The guy had a slingshot arm. I think he got led astray with off-field issues.

Lots of responses saying Willy Korn. But that’s just totally incorrect… Korn wasn’t a missed evaluation. Dude had all the talent in the world but we never got to see if it translated because of his injury and that Clemson’s medical staff and Bowden botched handling it.

TB only wanted to take 1 qb in that class and after Korn committed, he made Dabo quit recruiting Tebow. At the time of his commitment, both Dabo and Tebow have stated that Clemson led for his services.
I get that he definitely wasn't the same player after his shoulder injury and that played a huge part of it.

And most probably don't remember Michael Carr. From Louisiana, he was said to be the perfect QB for Danny Ford's option offense. After he got here though, it turned out he just couldn't read the option.

Hunter Johnson & DJ would be the top two in my opinion. Chad Kelly ended up being pretty good just not for us. Willy Kirk got hurt. That one hurt because we chose not to pursue Tebow anymore. I think Cade could be right behind HJ and DJ. Let’s see how he plays this year.
