QR codes on helmets

1

QR codes on helmets can work both ways ...

"Oklahoma State will be putting QR codes on their helmets for people to scan and donate to their NIL fund."

I have read many discussions about NIL and QR codes helping the athlete but not aware of any discussion concerning NIL hurting an athlete. For example --- a player has the ball and is running into the end zone with time running out and scores the game winning touchdown. This would create an attitude of gratitude to the player and positively/financially help the athlete and his NIL sponsors. BUT what if that player starts celebrating too early and drops the ball just before he scores a touchdown and his team loses? Could this cause disappointed fans to not support the players NIL sponsors?

Thinking out loud-usually you can't have it both ways.

Your thoughts?

This would be why they don't have a second QR code for deductions.

I really dont get the QR code on helmet thing, i get it, its so people can in theory scan it and be led to that players give fund or something, but if everyone on the team has a qr code and people moving around you will accidentally scan multiple, seems like a really stupid idea why not just direct people to a website where people can easily scan a QR code for the player if they choose.

Also not to give anyone idea but QR codes can easily be disabled with a black marker
