"Pursuing a bachelor's degree ..."

"Pursuing a master's degree ..."

So many kids ran down the hill yesterday as Seniors. Kids studying bioengineering, business, and the like.

Kids who'll never play in the NFL, and even now, wouldn't command much NIL money, either, but who'll go out into the world and make a positive difference.

Made me feel good about the direction of this 9-2 program.

That’s what it’s all about ultimately.

.... Clemson still values them.

Makes it much harder to compete in today's NCAA world of chasing the almighty dollar not matter how much they have to do to make academics irrelevant.

Kudos to Clemson. Hope they can stay relevant thru this transition and beyond. I'm not overly optimistic, but I'm hopeful when all this House settlement, employees, unionization and collective bargaining settles there will still be a place other than Division 3 for universities that think educating athletes is important.

I believe Clemson is equipped to navigate all the changes

with wisdom and skill, and that usually demands a lot of patience from everyone.

I suspect Swinney has enough equity with the *majority of fans that he can afford to take the long view. Which means he can go through a few "down" years (if 9-win seasons/T25 rankings are indeed "down") while rules/regs catch up with the new norms.

I think he's playing chess while others are playing checkers.

The walk on studying bioengineering would go to college and get a degree with or without football. It’s the kids who come from difficult situations, blow their NIL, transfer twice and end up with no degree who will suffer.

I miss the days when the player’s profile included his major along with height, weight, etc.
One of the guys I tutored in statics made Academic Player of the Game when we played FSU. He had to have me write for him one time because his fingers were so swollen from when they shot balls at them in practice.
He got his degree and is doing quite well at a chemical plant in TX.
