Man that I feel honestly just wants to defend his son. His son is probably a product of a generation that simply can't take tough love, or accountability punishment. I've seen it in schools, work places, etc. That is just the way this generation is. At this point, Dabo is the greatest coach in Clemson history and Terry Kinard is the greatest defensive player, if not overall player, in Clemson history. After seeing the video, I believe it is a mountain out of a mole hill, and it's just what coaching entails. But the Kinards have hurt feelings so it is very important to them. I hope Jaden can find a place where he can enjoy contributing to a team. I hope Terry can find a school he feels better supporting. I will never forget seeing freshman Terry Kinard getting off the plane from Notre Dame with a clover scarf on and carrying a football, after getting 3 picks in a 16-10 win at Notre Dame in 1979. How about his performance in 1981 defeat of defending national champ Georgia. His value to the national championship team of 1981, and college football defensive player of the year 1983. He will forever be in the ROH, which he EARNED. I hope he and Dabo can get together soon and mend some fences.
They are both huge Mt. Rushmore members of Clemson football history. I hope they work it out.

I also watched the video. It is painfully obvious that Terry’s swagger from his playing days is gone. He should have privately ripped into his son for not taking care of business and ending up on the naughty list.
Terry stated that he “never intended to hurt Clemson.” Sorry but it is too late. He is still hurting Clemson by keeping this nonsense public. He son is grown and it is apparent that he still runs to his daddy when he gets into trouble. Terry should have told Jaden to get back at practice and talk to his coaches about how he can improve himself.

Kinard is a legend. Swinney is driving the boat on a sinking ship right now. Alienating an alumni legend publicly isn’t smart.

Terry comes off as someone who used to be a celebrity in college, didn't quite do much in the NFL and washed out quickly, and has still not come to grips with the fact that he's not the king that he once was. The place where he would still receive the attention he seems to seek, did not bend over backwards to cater to his sons needs (although I would say allowing him to be a walk-on is more than most programs would do), and he became personally offended. His being offended, quickly turned into victimhood. Victimhood, in some circles of society today, is currency, so if you can show you've been victimized the most, you carry the most clout. Many people called him out for not being a man of honor and going to the HC about the issue, instead of running to post on social media so that he could once again, gain the attention he seeks. As the story continued to fall apart, and Dabo, as well as witnesses, came out to refute his story, he faced the crucial junction of whether to admit it was overblown, or to double down. Terry decided that his pride could not allow him to admit that he overreacted and that he may have received bad information from his son, so he decided to release more statements, and then eventually, this video. In the end, Terry is getting what he wants, which is more attention for Terry, but I don't think he has reflected on what the costs of that attention will be.

Bottom line - enough with this BS of making a private matter public. If Terry has a problem with anything Dabo said or did - then take it up with Dabo in a personal, private conversation. Stop playing the "woe is me" victim BS on social media by seeking some kind of weird emotional validation from the general public.
Terry is of a generation where he should know darn well how you handle things like this. Crying and whining on social media is not the way any mature adult confronts or solves problems/conflicts. In other words - act like a grown man and not some Gen Z adult baby who can't handle conflict.

this all sounds like an angry parent who naively and ill-advisedly believes every word of an emotionally embellished account their child provided without ever taking the time to hear both sides of the story?
Seems like the parents frustration may be largely, if not entirely, misdirected.
Like you, I'm not interested in watching the video.

Gen Z etc grew up to be babies because parents like TK treated them like babies their entire lives. JK is an entitled, low talent whiner because TK raised him that way

His son did not possess college level football skills -- hard to fathom why the son was on the team.

He was on the team because Dabo did TK a favor. Makes TK's actions ever more despicable
