Prayers needed!!!

Ronald Rouse, a senior defensive end for the Hartsville Red Foxes, collapsed on the sideline during a game against Crestwood tonight and later died.

With 3:39 to play in the first half, the 6-foot-3, 320-pound Rouse was in on a tackle and stayed down on the field following the play. Team officials went on to the field to assist Rouse, who eventually got to his feet and walked to the sideline where he collapsed.

An EMS crew worked on Rouse on the sideline and could be seen working on him in the ambulance before it departed for the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

done.....it is so sad when this happens....I wish that ALL HIGH SCHOOLS would REQUIRE more extensive exams, especially where the heart is concerned.....too many kids have died in a similar manner for the same reason......

What a tragic time this will be for the family and school and teammates. I'm praying right now. I know how it feels to lose a child.

i wanted to be any where but the stadium after this happened.it just sucked the life out of the place.there was no ambulance at the stadium it was a good 15 mins then a fire truck arrived.they used a defibrillator on him.then another 5 mins later the ambulance finaly arrived.the hartsville community is sad right now.very trying time for this community.prayers to rouse's family.
