My daughter goes to UNC Wilmington. The T.P. chapter there held a memorial for Charlie Kirk back on Tuesday. They were peaceful and respectful. There was a group of students that defied logic and decided to cause trouble. It descended into chaos from there. In the following 24 hours, there were death threats, notes posted in women's bathrooms and an assortment of other heinous msgs. A bomb threat was called in for their library. Last night, a far right group (according to several people I have talked to on campus) came into campus. There were 4 gunmen who attacked 4 different locations. Shots were fired. Police have locked down the campus. I can't get there and pull her out. She and most everyone she knows are fine, so far. Who knows what will happen over the weekend, but hopefully the police have squashed all this stupidity.
None of this needed to happen. No one is in the right. I can't help but think Charlie would have been appalled at the violence... especially from the proud boys. There is no place for this. These groups don't care about anything, including children's lives, to promote their hate. This has got to stop.

It sounds like there are conflicting and confusing reports coming from the area. Regardless, I know you are a concerned father and my prayer is for the safety of your daughter and those that surround her.
