Portal Question

For everyone clamoring for the transfer portal (which I'm not against). If D Kendrick (or anyone of that ilk) originally committed to Georgia and was dismissed by the team and subsequently arrested on drug and gun charges are you folks good with Clemson taking him? Even if Clemson is in need of a CB and he has great talent. I have my opinion, just asking.

the gun charges are what made him especially appealing to Georgia. a perfect fit.

This guy is a fit, leaving Alabama after the game Monday, entered the portal yesterday.

Today, January 12, 2022 in the portal!
Drew Sanders former 5 Star Alabama Outside Linebacker hit the portal and is visiting U. Texas.

We should at least invite him for a visit 6'-5" 215 pounds, Outside Linebacker.
Got hurt (wrist) and lost his starting spot to a freshman LB.
Can play several positions on offense and defense, and should have 3 or 4 years of eligibility left.
Originally an Oklahoma commit, changed to Alabama. Good size and speed, and he can develop!

If they are serious about picking up a quality portal prospect, they should at least have him visit!

First priority is preserving Clemson culture and signing young men of character and integrity. You can make an athlete better than you can make someone be of good character.

Dabo gets paid huge bucks to make those decisions and I have no doubt he has the same standards for portal guys as he does with high school kids.

Again that wasn't the question about Dabos' interest. It was about folks here on TNET. I already know Dabos' answer. It seems like everything I read is why are we not diving head over heels over everyone. That was my question. You guys that answered seem to feel the same way I do.

I wouldn't necessarily have a problem with it. It would be hard to know without knowing the player personally. Perhaps Dab's and Clemson could turn him around and be a positive influence in their life. I believe in second chances.
