We are seriously, seriously, at least 3-1 with a QB like John Mateer, Carson Beck, whoever out of that bunch
That’s all to say on the matter.

If you’re serious and you wanna make sure you take all doubt out of it, you absolutely go get your portal quarterback. Gotta stop worrying about offending your current players….. some of those same kids are bailing on you each year.
But this team’s issues are much deeper than just QB. I’ve read from several people today that tend to hone in that a different QB would fix everything. It would certainly help. But Every position group outside of punter is under performing by a large margin.
Gotta recruit high school kids better. Got to use the portal more; got to revamp strength and conditioning. Strength and conditioning has gone downhill. It’s very noticeable.

Exactly SLW. I am so underwhelmed by the play of our OL and DL. I mean, this is Syracuse…. same thing with Georgia Tech.
Yes, our talent is not near the elite teams, but it is still markedly better than teams like Georgia Tech and Syracuse.

It’s how we spend it
Do we have Texas money… Nope. But we have enough to pay for every position we need.
There is one person that controls the purse strings……
Right now we have 1 foot in 1 foot out. Again, we are playing the modern game of college football with one hand tied behind our back. FOR ZERO REASON.

Our def does suck and playing well below what we expect but at the same time they gave up 7 in the second half and have lost two games where we gave up 17 and 24 if you count the bomb fg… that should be plenty for this offense to freaking score 28 points and win games I’m sorry. The offense is the issue and has been for a long time.

He is definitely a problem; but the problem is over almost every position group, and it is deep. If you can’t see the lack of performance from groups that are supposed to be elite against inferior opponents I don’t know what to say.
