The question we should be asking is does Oregon fall below us?
We lost to the undefeated, underrated then #5 team FSU and we were #3 we have 1 loss total.
We fall to #9.
Oregon in same position we were at #3 loses to the 1 loss (to an unranked nobody) #6 team that should make them fall to #10 at best right?
The true bias will show today and time will tell.

undefeated teams for us to fall behind when we lost. We fell from #3 to #9 but only 1 1-loss team was ahead of us and that was Stanford.
Oregon lost and there were only be 1 1-loss team ahead of them, and that's Stanford once again.
The difference is that there were 5 undefeated teams to jump us and only 3 will jump Oregon.

It should also be noted, and people here are really just ignoring this big piece of the puzzle, that we lost 51-14. Yes, it was against arguably the best team in the country, but it was still a total massacre in our house.

You're right and I'm not arguing this with you but just to point it out a loss is a loss is a loss doesn't matter if it's by 1 or 100 "style points" don't count, right?
The way you are approaching it is biased in itself.

Style points don't necesarily matter, but how you look does.
We looked totally helpless against Florida State. If we had lost 35-31 and were in it in the fourth quarter, it would look much better. People would almost definitely be placing us ahead of Stanford in the rankings had this happened.

You're comparing Seminoles to Trees (apples to oranges). Two teams that don't even have a common opponent, it can't be done. Put Themo n the same field to eliminate the bias.

And for the record, Utah isn't bad at home. They've played tough there all season and almost notched another one yesterday.
Utah is 3-3 @home with a win over Stanford, a 3pt OT loss to Oregon St, a 7pt loss to UCLA, and a 1pt loss yesterday to ASU.

Don't you know? Literally every team, media member, and NCAA official have joined together in a grand conspiracy to target a mid-sized school in the upstate of South Carolina? Their motive? Who the heck knows because it makes literally zero sense.

CU, Miami, VT, FSU, Bama, TN, UGA, Texas, etc get the benefit of the doubt.
Teams like Central FLA, Houston, Utah, etc. are perceived to be week.
Duke, Vandy, Wake Forest, Kentucky, etc. are known to be week. You can't lose to these teams and stay in the top 25.
NCST, UVA, UNC, Maryland, MS ST, Ole Miss, Kansas, TCU are known to be average.

so that's a bad example. But yeah your right about poll bias. How is SCU ranked above OU. They both have two losses. OU has lost to two ranked teams. SCU has lost to one ranked team and a terrible UT team. Out of all the two loss teams SCU should be ranked the lowest since they have the worst loss out of all the 2 loss teams.
