Things have really fallen apart for Juwan at Michigan.

He did great at first, making an Elite Eight in 2021 and a Sweet 16 in 2022, but it's been downhill since then. They barely had a winning record last year, and are awful this year.
It's been almost two years since he slapped the Wisconsin coach after the game, so Michigan's slide since then feels like poetic justice.

You’re telling me they literally made sweet 16 or higher in 2 straight tournaments…in 2021-2022?
Both have happened in the last 3 years.
Good Lord, if that was Brownell at Clemson they would’ve built a statue for him already.
Maybe Clemson could push for Howard if he were to be available.
Given Brownell continues his expected downhill spiral.

Are you prepared for Clemson to spend about $11 million a year

on men's basketball? Because that's what Michigan spends. We currently spend just $8 million a year.
This is certainly not considering the fact that Michigan has a much better basketball history than we do, and promotes its basketball program better than we do.
I don't think Juwan Howard would have had Clemson in the Elite Eight and Sweet 16 two years in a row if he were our coach.
I do think Brownell is the better coach though. He's never had a season as poor as Juwan is having right now, despite significantly better resources and more advantages than Brad has ever had.

At least he has a source, but it isn’t particularly great for real comparison. The department of Ed database is based on self reported numbers in a non-standardized process.
Sportico actually reviews profit and loss statements.
https://www.sportico.com/leagues/college-sports/2021/about-sporticos-college-sports-1234645998/
For 21-22 our overall basketball operating budget ranks 44th. Our operating expenses are similar to Purdue, Florida, and Wisconsin. If you go further up the ladder the difference is frequently the head coach salary - not a lack of support for assistants and other factors as JK insists. Houston’s budget is $1.1 million more than Clemson’s. But Kelvin Sampson makes $1.75 million more than Brownell. So Clemson spends more on ancillary expenses despite JK’s protestations.

I wonder how much Loyola Chicago and More head state spend on Men's Basketball?... 🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄🙄

Until I see some return on investment from the additional millions we've already spent on MBB, I'm not spending another dime. I'd just rather replace the CEO.

This is why it is important to fund your basketball program to make it more of a destination job rather than a stepping stone job. It's hard to hire the right coach. Hiring a coach similar to dabo is like hitting the lottery. If you do hire the right coach and they have immediate success, they are just going to bolt immediately when offered another job, similar to rick barnes' exit from clemson. Even purnell bolted after having moderate success even though he never won a tourney game.
Luckily if we do part ways with brownell at the end of the season, we are in a much better position to hire a successful coach than we were 10+ years ago.

Brad is way overcompensated versus his results. He has everything he needs and he has a solid roster. No excuses for losing like we have been or the lack of accomplishments. No excuses. There are many coaches doing better with a less and even a lot less. We aren’t looking for a John Wooden here, only some one who can consistently make the tournament and earn a top 40 pay, unlike Brad Brownell.

These people aren't interested in reality. They have convinced themselves that we support basketball well at Clemson, and that the program has everything it needs to be consistently successful if not for the horrible coach screwing things up.

Brad has two top 40 finishes in his entire mediocre (at best) career.
The program has and has had everything needed to make the top 40 every year.
Unfortunately coaching, and coaching alone is keeping us buried on the national scene.
The man is literally stealing our money.
This is reality. Put it in your pipe and smoke it instead of that wacky weed you apparently smoke when posting here.

Brad is paid $750,000 less than Matt Painter with 5 years less of service. $400,000 less than Nate Oats. More than Jim Larranaga and Hubert Davis. But you know this and are just outright lying now.

He’s finished in the top 40 twice. Only twice. Ever.
He’s making way way more than he should. Besides, he could be the highest paid coacj in America and still not be more than a mediocre (at best) coach.
These are the facts of the matter. Your narrative is hogwash.

It’s a stupid argument anyway. Nate Oats makes $400,000 more than Brownell despite myriad more achievements in less time. Matt Painter only makes $750,000 more despite being at Purdue 5 years longer than Brad has been at Clemson and making 6 Sweet Sixteen. Brad is overpaid and the remaining operating budget is comparable to a lot of top 40 programs - including current No. 1 Purdue.

You are part of the problem.
Your expectations don't meet your effort.
You are the 400 pound person who wants to lose weight but thinks their crappy diet is fine and that exercise is overrated, and keeps looking for the magic pill to help you lose weight.

Fat shaming as Brad Brownell defense? Interesting choice. And, as someone who doesn't weigh 400 lbs, someone who does has a lot more going on than misunderstanding their diet or need for just a little more exercise.
As things start looking bleak for Brad you always start lashing out. I've seen racist, misogynist, and fat shaming attacks. Cute. You're a quality guy.
