Think thats been a huge part of the lie that is this season. Seems like we are dozens of needs short of where we need to be. Linebackers d line o line dbs rbs QBs. Having coaches who do less with more hasn’t helped but we’re getting pushed around at every spot on the field.

is the mismatch of what we thought, or were told, our talent level was vs. what we see on the field.

Cade K. - seems to have regressed a year instead of taking a step forward
O-line - returned starters and Luke is thought to be a wizard... they're trash
Defense - had been a strength for years and we thought we just needed a new coordinator to bring it back to life, no pressure from the line and can't cover people
WR - Antonio hurt, but if we're the type of program we want to be one player going down shouldn't tank everything
Etc...

The expectation vs. reality is like the commercial 'When you need Batman, but you get Bate-man' with Jason Bateman.

Defense has been the biggest disappointment by far for me. Even our bad teams had good defenses. This one is hot garbage. Soft slow and out of position. Either dumb or portly coached or both.

But talent has taken a huge slide. All goes back to NIL and portal. We were late to the game paying recruits the going rate and lost some to programs like duke and GT. We only really used the portal last year and not to the extent needed.
The game changed and clemson didn't.
