People are worried about our strength of schedule...

Sep 26, 2015, 3:00 PM

I am one that thinks if we run the table that it doesn't matter bit. I firmly believe that if we don't lose a game we will be in that 4 team playoff. I don't really worry about our SOS. Am I wrong and missing something?

IF we run the table, what if we lose one? Then it meas a

I was going to say it's too early to be drinking, but really

it isn't. Just carry on! :)

Louisville was the game we could have lost.

We no longer can lose a game. If we lose to ND and they go 12-0 then they will likely take our one loss spot.

if we beat ND and then lose to someone else, ND is ahead of

Or two ESECPN teams. The will fight hard to get two ESECPN teams in regardless if there were 17 undefeated teams.

winning out will be very difficult, maybe a 2 percent chance

at best

IF, if there are 5 undefeated teams with one coming from each of the power 5 conferences. The 4 teams that had the toughest schedule will be in the play offs unless your team is Bama or OSU....

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That won't happen. There's no way that many teams go unbeaten.

Sep 26, 2015, 3:40 PM

There's very little precedent for 3 unbeaten power conference teams, much less 5.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't ever remember 3 unbeaten power 5 teams

Sep 26, 2015, 3:47 PM

I remember Auburn and somebody else unbeaten in the same year 10 years ago or more, but never 3, not in recent years anyway.

what if there are 6 undefeated teams or 24 undefeated teams?***

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Nope, absolutely right.. signed, #3 FSU

Sep 26, 2015, 4:04 PM

You know, the same one that hadn't lost last season or the season before.. reigning Nat Champ.. 3 seed.
Sos matters, perception matters. If FSU didn't come inas defending champs, 1 loss tcu or baylor would have been in, no doubt.

If the big 12 would actually declare one champ OSU would have been left out

SOS , as a measuring stick loses credibility with each game .
They (ESPiN/Sagarin) know that what the old formula was is no longer the metric for this Final Four committee.
If Clemson is undefeated , we are in . Period. Even a loss next week or a loss to FSU , if it's our only loss wouldn't completely erase us from the argument.
