Pathetic interaction I had with a Wake Forest fan after the game

I was walking out of the stadium and overhead a Clemson coed and a Wake fan (who was holding a kid) going at it. At first I thought it was good natured ribbing but it was quickly apparent it wasn’t.
“No title for y’all this year, going way down in the poll, y’all suck” he said
I cut in “this was your best chance to finally beat us and still couldn’t do it. Real tough loss”
“We beat y’all in 09! (It was actually 08)” he shot back at me.
Me “You are bragging about a win from 14 years ago?”
Him “oh yeah well spell basketball!”
Me “basketball?? Y’all have sucked in that too recently.”
And he finishes it off with “at least I don’t have to go home to South Carolina!!”
I just laughed after that. Have some shame sir.

the cutouts from 2020... you should of told him to stay away from our beaches. NC plates all over the grandstrand but i suppose they are better than the NY/NJ plates.

Sometimes people just spout crap without thinking. He sounded pathetic in the only thing he could bring up was a win several years back.

You would think they have some class but not the case. I was there in 09. Their fans are no different than the rest of the garden variety NC hicks. Southern Hospitality does not exist in that state.
I thank the good lord that I get to come home to South Carolina!

half of them are yankees from NY/NJ and southern hospitality is dead in that state. South Carolina is awful he should tell his northern friends not to move here.

That’s the dang truth right there. If you have ever tried to permit anything in the research triangle area you would know. Straight up government run amuck!
Greensboro is a little better thank goodness.
I hate doing business in the research triangle and most of NC. My clients regret every project they do within 50 miles of Raleigh

It’s sad when some fans take a game too far. I think Wake has a really good team. It was a great game and a tuff win for Clemson. I would put WF above many SEC and Big Ten teams. If fact I believe the ACC teams that are ranked are better this year than some SEC , Big Ten and other conference teams. It’s just a game fan’s. It is not life or death. All you have to do is look at Ella Bresee. “ Ella Strong “ prayers go out to the Bresee family.

Respect, I can tell by reading your posts for years you're not an argumentative guy but that seemed out of hand. He wishes he could come home to a beautiful place like the upstate of SC
