I kept thinking we are saving Pace and Mafah for the 4th. Pound the ground with fresh legs, eat clock and wear them down. Now I’m a lady so I have never played a down of football, but I could see that they couldn’t stop the run. This loss is solely on the coaches.

Both losses to UW and Oregon State were so unnecessary.

If they were playing South Carolina’s defense they would have attempted even fewer. A team with very good corners and a terrible front seven against the run what should we do. 3 good runnings backs, a QB who can’t throw it I. The ocean and an underperforming WR group- let’s throw it on three straight downs.
Run the ball Brandon.
It cracks me up that some people on her complain that we ran the ball too much on first down. Throwing on first down for the most part put us behind the chains and caused three and outs.

I think we should have been more creative with the run on first down. It was the same play over and over. The runs to the perimeter worked but we completely abandoned that.

Did 99% of first down plays go up the middle or did they change it up to keep the defense on its toes?
