One of my biggest concern areas is WR…

We have been known as WRU in the past, with 5 star receivers like Hunter Renfrow, Sammy Watkins, Nuk Hopkins, Mike Williams, etc… Those days seem to be behind us though. Does anyone know what is going on there? I have not seen much discussion on this site, which is the typical fan boy orange colored glasses glass is completely full type of posting I’ve come to expect here.

Renfrow was a walk-on, Watkins and Hopkins were both 4 stars by most publications. Renfrow shows that it's not about the stars, but the heart of the player. Much of the core was hurt last year and we had to play freshman and walk-ons like Drew Swinney. Let's hope they are healthy this year and stay that way.

Some of our 4* commits will end up a 5*. Don't know if that will include WR's. However, do you believe the NIL money could be an influence, going to the highest bidder ?

Simple, get a commitment from a 5* at a different position, then move them to WR. Problem solved.
You're welcome.

6* recruits that performed once-in-generation football miracles in HS.
We need to be focusing on more “normal” type kids who are average 5* ranked fellas and hope Dabo can develop them.
I’m cautiously optimistic about it.

My thoughts on this in order

We need to order more Juggs machines and blindfold the players so they can use ALL of their senses, and not just rely eyesight alone to anticipate the ball delivery
We need to go back to that thing where the receivers jam their hands into a barrel of sand until they tire. This is like sandblasting, it adds a texture to the player's hands that make the ball stick better.
We need to stop giving our players Beats By Dr Dre headphones, it is embarrassing. They will need a proper open-back audiophile-grade headphone with a balanced desktop amplifier if they want to get themselves pumped up before a game.
Every time a player drops a critical pass, they will have the number on their Jersey raised to a higher number, once they get past 22, they are benched for the season.
We need the boxing glove sticks back, I noticed we stopped doing this when Jeff Scott left, presumably he took them to South Florida and needs to give them back.

Frankly I am more concerned about long snapper. How can we call ourselves elite when this program has never signed a 5 star long snapper? That coach needs to be put on notice!

The absence of Jeff Scott IMPO hurt our recruiting of the top WR's, and I believe that bc Tyler Grisham was hired as our WR's coach without any WR coaching experience other than playing as a WR during his playing days.
IMPO, when a top school has had a proven WR's coach as Jeff Scott, that had coach 9 or 10 WR's that went to the NFL in the 1st, 2nd, 3d, and 4th round, and with most of those WR's that went to the NFL, they have since proven they should have been drafted no later than the middle of the 2nd round with the exception of the 1st rounders that has also proven they belonged in the 1st round...
Then all of sudden Jeff Scott is gone, and our new WR's coach that doesn't have any experience with coaching successful WR's. Coaching staffs at every school that we recruit against, they repeatedly reminded WR recruits that Jeff Scott was no longer at Clemson, and that Dabo replaced Jeff with a fresh coach that had no coaching experience, and that his only WR experience was as playing the WR position during his playing days at Clemson. Dabo couldn't have done a better job of cutting the head off of WRU if he would have tried harder by hiring one of the T-Netters to coach our WR's.
Until Grisham proves his worthiness as a WR's coach by helping WR's he has coached up to the NFL, every coach that we recruit against, they will sing the same song about Jeff Scott leaving Clemson for HC job, and Tyler Grisham has done nothing to bragg about as a WR's coach.
There is a logical reason why everybody says that when replacing a coach, they should be replaced with coaches of equal standing coaching whatever position that was vacated. Like it or not, that is my honest opinion, and we're not going to get the same type WR's that Jeff Scott was bringing in until Grisham has proven himself as being a really good WR's coach that is helping these kids to get to the NFL!!!

Sorry bud, that's a lot of words

trying to say recruiting has dropped off since Jeff Scott was here, but it's just not true regardless of the word count.
In the three recruiting classes signed under Grisham, we netted (5) top-20 guys and another in the top-40. We signed a grand total of (3) 5-star receivers in (8) years of the CFP with the last being Tee Higgins in 2017. Deon Cain was 2015, and Derion Kendrick was 2016. Only ONE of those guys ended up being a true 5-star, and Jeff Scott didn't sign any 5-star receivers in his last two recruiting cycles.
Nothing has changed. No offense, but some of you fellas try way too hard to dig up negativity.
