Make them make a series of plays without a mistake. They did that and still weren’t left with enough time to realistically win the game. It worked exactly as intended and we WON THE GAME.

but he is still the best NBA player of all time. Jordan was a ball hog, Labron could not take over a game when it mattered, and Magic just had a pretty finger roll, and could put the ball under his legs before he dunked, but that was about it.

I need to understand. If the other coaches do it, then our coaches have to play the prevent Defense?
(At halftime of the FSU game, Dabo was yelling at NoGoodWin because rushing 3 with no blitzes allowed FSU to drive the field for a TD in less 90 seconds, to pull a 17-7 lead to 17-14. That should NOT have happened then.)
And the prevent defense made it easy for the Weak Florest to drive the field for a TD today. That

I am glad you are not our coach.
Normally I’m not in favor of the prevent. But when you have a 2 score lead and a sputtering offense you have got to swallow your pride and do the smart thing!
Glad we made them chew clock. Allowing a quick score while applying pressure would have been grade A dumb.

When a team hasn’t made a big play all game and has not been able to get in the end zone, even when given the ball there over turnovers, it’s dumb to think that the defense you’ve been playing all game wouldn’t close the game out?

I don’t see how any coach thinks that prevent is a good idea. It almost never works. It cost Duke the game over ND. The only thing it prevents is making a stop.
