Kirby Smart presser. SEC media days.

After being thrown a few softballs to open up, he was asked about the glut of speeding tickets.
To a UGA fan, he gave a great answer, tackling it head on. To a politician, he gave a great answer. He addressed the problem, admitted the problem and then downplayed the problem.
To me, he said, (interpretation). "Kids will be kids. I got speeding tickets when I was that age. I wish they wouldn't do it. But, we aren't having any more speeding tickets now than we've had in years past. I just wish that the guys getting the tickets weren't super-speeders. It's not high on my radar of things I'm concerned about."

Well we're certainly getting a return on our investment there but actually all he really cares about is "complacency."

We beat Alabama one time, won back-to-back National Championships - one by the largest victory margin in Bowl Game history, have won 5 of the 6 CFP games we have played in, have gone 7-0 against every Top-10 non-conference team we've played over the last 4 years - including Clemson in their "home away from home" stadium, and are favored to win the NC again this year, and call that a dynasty.

Probably favored bc this is UGA's schedule - 4 straight home games to open the season with UT Martin, Ball State, and UAB 3 of them, 7 total home games, one neutral site game, and only 4 away games. And you mutts and coots used to talk about our schedule.
In UGA's first 6 SEC games, only South Carolina (8-5) and Kentucky (7-6) had a winning record last season. Ole Miss went 8-5 also. At Tennessee (the only team on the schedule with double digit wins last season) may be your toughest regular season game. Does this schedule prove UGA is the best team?
Georgia 2023 Football Schedule
Sept. 2 UT MARTIN Sept. 9 BALL STATE Sept. 16 SOUTH CAROLINA Sept. 23 UAB Sept. 30 at Auburn Oct. 7 KENTUCKY Oct. 14 at Vanderbilt Oct. 21 Open Date Oct. 28 vs. Florida (Jacksonville) Nov. 4 MISSOURI Nov. 11 OLE MISS Nov. 18 at Tennessee Nov. 25 at Georgia Tech

Yes, our schedule this season is uncharacteristically easy. But that will not prove us to be the best team. Winning the CFP would prove we're the best team (as whoever wins would prove it for them).

Compared to what? Sure it's an easy schedule compared to what we typically play, but our opponents combined to go 80-70 last year (.533). Clemson's opponents combined to go 85-66 (.566). That's a difference of about a third of a game per opponent. Not much difference there.

Really?? That's where you want to go? Georgia has played in the SEC Championship Game 10 times. All 10 opponents were ranked, 8 of those 10 were ranked in the top 3, and 6 were that season's eventual National Champion or Runner up. Clemson, meanwhile, has never played a top 10 opponent in the ACC-CG in a non-covid year, let alone top 3, and twice your opponent was unranked. Georgia has played 13 ranked opponents in their last 30 games. If we get a rare easy schedule, it's about time.

maybe they'll get a turnover on downs call overturned and an obvious targeting call review ruled in their favor and a do over on a timeout call after a play had started. Those kind of things help to win big games.

I'm sure this will win you some points here but its a bit selective and clearly designed to leave the impression Kirby is indifferent to this.
You left out, "We're disappointed any time we have a traffic incident." He spoke about speeding in general and concern over the excessive speeds. He said they were going to do everything they could to eradicate that.

"We're disappointed any time we have a traffic incident."
My perception is he is downplaying the number and the size of the traffic incident. Running a stop sign is a traffic incident. Going 40 in a 35 is a traffic incident.
I would expect more than "disappointment" if you have repeated incidents of players drag racing on public streets and going twice the speed limit.
Now, maybe Kirby is doing far more than we know. Maybe he is handling it very well internally. We don't need to know, maybe, just how he is disciplining the players.
Sidebar: As an FSU fan I lived through over a decade of claims that Bobby Bowden had lax rules and didn't discipline his players. I talked to people who were directly in charge of enforcing the discipline that Bobby handed out. I saw some of it first hand. I know how he used "tough love" and disciplined his players. But, he chose to do it privately. He used the analogy, "When you spank your child you don't call all the neighbors in to watch."
I'm just saying that Kirby did not give the impression that he is concerned to the level one would expect when looking at the seriousness of the apparent culture of speeding/street racing he has on his team.
Time will tell.
Jimbo Fisher was not a strict disciplinarian. His success was short lived. No coach can maintain a long period of success without instilling discipline among his players, on and off the field.

I'll let you in a a secret but you have to promise not to tell anyone else. Kirby confiscated all his players car keys. They're are only allow to run everywhere....practice, class, ect. Excessive speed is actually encouraged here. Those Dawgs going to be in fine shape come Sept.

So to summarize, you have no idea how Kirby is handling this you just object to his use of words like "disappointed" and "incident."
Of course they are all "incidents." What else are they? Some "incidents" are more serious than others. Kirby spoke to that, although your OP suggests otherwise

So to summarize: Your stinking wet dawg butt comes to a Clemson sports chat board and questions the manner in which we choose to despise, berate, criticize and highlight the hypocrisy of a detestable football program and its scummy no-holds-barred unapologetic criminal coach? GTFOH and don’t dare try to impose conditions on us as to how we crap on you and yours. You know where the door is and you know what to do with it.

The assertion that Kirby and UGA will do whatever it takes to address the issue is entirely disingenuous…
https://www.audacy.com/929thegame/sports/georgia-bulldogs/suspend-or-not-suspend-is-now-the-question-for-kirby-smart
What Kirby won’t do is jeopardize his win/loss record with discipline…
Cue up some response telling me about the players Kirby suspended…pretty easy to suspend a player going to jail…
If you want see what actual discipline looks like go see Dabo’s history …
He suspended players for the entirety of a playoff run…
He suspended Sammy Watkins …against Southwest/Northwest State …oh wait..that was against Auburn before they started to stink …
That’s just a couple examples…
Kirby should just come out and say what he really thinks …
“I get paid a lot of money to win football games and that’s all I care about”…It would be a more honest response…

It’s not going to get any better. Lack of discipline is a slippery slope. Just glad he is not our coach. Embarrassing. His pre game speech befor the national championship was classless, his QB embarrassed them after the win and now this whole off season has been a dumpster fire, but hey they pay the man to win football games and recruiting thugs seems to be getting that accomplished.
