Just go in the portal for replacements. I wouldn't bother with fallback recruits that will never contribute.

Hate to lose this one though. He was one of my favorite guys in the class with great film. Underrated IMO. Probably a contributor first year and a point of need. Makes the portal class bigger and more important.

We won't though. Dabo will say he doesn't mind them decommitting because it's God's path to get the lower recruit, who was meant to come here and stay 4 years. If you believe the big guy cares more about our team than other teams, then things will be ok, don't worry.

I see these decommits the same way I see couples who break up a month before the wedding. Yeah, everyone has invested time and money and emotions, but if they seriously can't commit to the relationship, it is still better to walk away before rather than after.

Nah....we needed this dude. We are worse off losing him. This might end up the worst DL recruiting class since Dabo has been at Clemson now. We are recruiting DL at the level of Kansas or Oregon State now.

If Clemson drops another home game this season, some coaches need to be cleaning out their desks that night. If Duke beats Clemson on Saturday, heads need to roll.

Even Ray Charles could have seen this coming 5 years ago. Heads should have started rolling then. Don't see Neff or Dabo turning this sinking ship around. Best thing for Clemson is to stay in the weak ACC and hope to win an ACC title every 4 years. It may be doable with 3 star roster if F&F coaching staff can get them dressed out for game.

Looks like the ‘26 class is headed towards a ranking in the mid-20’s again with the headline recruits taking other paths. Per Paul Strelow this morning, this decommitment is primarily financially driven so perhaps the latest example of Clemson leadership saying we aren’t going to compete on a price tag basis. Dabo needs to decide how to best build a talented roster. If you want to be a developer of home grown and retained players then you have to pay market rate for top 200 recruits. Otherwise, stop trying to recruit them and instead pay that market price tag later from the portal. Standing firm on not paying HS recruits market rate as a development focused program is exactly how you end up over paying for a roster of average to below average P4 talent. It’s not rocket science and we now have several recruiting classes of evidence of how it works. Adapt or retire Dabo.
