about college football. Fame has gone to his head and he can be a jerk, but the guy is smart and accurate in what he says.
Dabo is a good coach and I think we all can agree on that.
Four years have passed since 2018 and things have drastically changed and are now settled in with the top programs and coaches. Clemson is a SOLID program and I honestly think they can remain as such.
The Cheez It Bowl win was nice and think how many schools would, literally, KILL to be in the position Clemson is in.
Yes, Finebaum is a jerk. But, the guy is practically the face of college football and what he says matters. If he would just be more humble I think people would gravitate to him more.
On a side note played Cateechee today and went 37-35-72. My personal best there and just one of those days. Total control of the ball and it was a GOOD FEELING!! Now, watch me go out and barely break 80 tomorrow ??????

MAYBE, if you took some 80lb. dumbells with you and did curls between shots you could get more distance with your clubs and improve your average score.
You should try it.

Also, if you’re a scratch golfer, how many tournaments have you won? I’ve personally known two scratch golfers in my life, one won several tournaments at his course of membership, and the other was my cousin who played college golf for Georgia Southern and had a chance to go pro. Scratch golfers don’t grow on trees. I’ve played my entire life, and I once shot an 80 at the Walker course, but basically didn’t hit a bad shot the entire round.

I have never watched his show. All I know of him is information that’s passed down second hand.
When I have read or seen (video) what he’s said, he’s wrong over half of the time.
My favorite memory is when he admitted that Alabama was “gobsmacked” the morning after the 44-16 (whatever) beatdown of Alabama.

Finebaum is a shock jock playing a character for his public
Jun 8, 2022, 10:12 PM
|

I have no doubt he’s smart but what he does is not journalism. He spouts ridiculous, outlandish hot takes to drive clicks, views, and listeners. He’s pandering to the myopic insane SEC fan base and has found a way to profit from their mania. Saying pawl is the face of college football is like saying weird Al Yankovich is the face of rock and roll. They’re both cartoon characters living in their niche.
You’ve said a lot of ridiculous things but if you’re implying that Dabo is old news because we haven’t won a Natty since 2018 then you’ve finally fallen of of your PBR and cheezwiz stained knock-off lazy boy rocker(while you’re down there do some pushups maybe we’ll respect you more because of it). What did you say about the Georgia program before last year when it had been more than a few years since their title at that point.?
Finally the only thing Jawja fans lie about more than golf is fishing. So, I can’t wait for you to regale us next with a story about the 12 lb bass you pull out of the Strom Thurmond reservoir (yes that’s it’s real name) using only a hand full of sting trimmer line, a safety pin, and the last third of a slim Jim.

Sorry for the confusion. Dabo IS A GOOD COACH
Jun 9, 2022, 6:58 AM
|
|
Please don’t think otherwise. Just simply look at Dabo’s record and to think otherwise is ridiculous. The man can coach.
All Paul is saying, and now those who follow college football, is that since 2018 college football has undergone a METAMORPHOSIS.
We now have a few teams and coaches who are firmly entrenched at the top of the college football world. I do not think that is good, either. As I have said before, it is simply not fair anymore. It is BAD for college football.
Clemson will ALWAYS remain a good program. The tradition and support Clemson has is tremendous. Also, the passion. The Clemson fans demand a solid program and will not put up with anything less.
Clemson will be a perennial bowl team with solid win totals and will certainly be a good program for many years to come.

Metamorphosis. Your school can now get players paid openly and not sneak anymore. Feels good doesn’t it? Good old NIL. Your indirect comments are the same every time you post something here. Things just aren’t fair at the top and it’s bad for college football blah blah blah. Welcome to the top. We’ve been waiting for you. I was beginning to think those recruiting national titles weren’t gonna get you there. Notice how he says Clemson will be a perennial bowl team not a championship contender and yes I realize the playoffs ARE bowl games. You’re so obvious throwing in the nice comments followed by snarky ones. Booger you’re not fooling anyone. You’re still DaGoober.

GA’s recent record does not make them a team that is “firmly entrenched “ at the top of college football. IF y’all make the NCG 2 out of the next 3 years and win at least 1 of those games then come back and talk to us. Until then y’all are just strays with all bark and no bite. Kirby hasn’t been a head coach long enough to decide if he is even a good coach at this point. Coach O still has a longer list of achievements than Kirby. Maybe Kirby will turn out to be a good coach but he hasn’t stood the test of time yet.

Sadly with the way recruiting is now days GA will continue to be a top 5 team. But no one and I mean no one is choosing Kirby over Dabo to coach a team with equal talent. They might choose Kirby the recruiter but not the coach. You know old saying every dog has his day? Well their day came when talent was down across CFB in 2021 and Bama suffered critical injuries. All they had to do is lean on the extreme talent. Mickey Plyler has said it for a few years now that one year they’d have so much talent Kirby couldn’t Kirby it up.

This is a ridiculous post- FineBUM is a BLATANT SEC homer- PERIOD. To win at UGAy is exponentially easier than to win at Clemson. Kirby ran into a title- PERIOD. Yes he is a GOOD coach- but by NO MEANS is he a great coach. If Bama hadn’t had the injuries- bowl cut still has zero titles has a head coach. Don’t act like u guys were world beaters last year- congrats on the title, but Dabo is BY FAR AND AWAY a better coach than Coach Bowl Cut.

You’ll for sure break 80 tomorrow. You just took yourself down a few notches in my book saying Finebaum is “accurate”. I don’t give the guy the time of day because he’s a biased talking head, with an unremarkable intelligence, making sweeping judgements about things without corroborating data.

But, the entire landscape of college football has dramatically changed in the last 3-4 years. Seemingly overnight.
It is not a good thing and it will not be pretty.
All but a very few teams are now going to have to change goals and expectations.
That is not going to go over well and that is why I believe it is a BAD THING what has happened.

I fit in much better with Clemson than UGA

I hate Athens, Ga. It is a dirty, violent, brain dead liberal crap hole.
The University of Georgia is a very good school but it is dominated by brain dead wacko liberals now.
Clemson is much more conservative and I prefer hanging with Clemson people.
I should actually be a Clemson man.

You’ve got a lot of work ahead of you to get there.

It’s us against the world. We don’t need a vote of confidence from a mangy mutt. Everyone that watched the game last year between our programs know that we only needed 2-3 of the slant passes to connect from taking the lead but we didn’t because of a flat-footed tight end at QB. That’s history and here we are in discussion for post season play again with OSU, Bama etc but one team is missing. Any guess who that team is?

Okay, BULLDOG, you're talking with the same Paul Finebaum that stated on national TV that Clemson had "no shot to beat Alabama" in the 2018 NC game. And he said that Trevor Lawrence was good but TL would wilt under the heavy pressure from the Bammer defense. He also predicted that the game would NOT BE CLOSE. (44-16, CU win; he was somewhat right that the game was NOT close) Of course, it turned-out that his "very knowledgeable" opinion was purely, extremely biased SEC bull manure. And that's what he spews on a regular basis. Go back and check his pregame predictions for the 2015 and 2016 CFP NC gamesn too. (45-40 Bammer, 2015, with a late-game onside kick recovery needed; and a 35-31 CU win in 2016) SO, he's actually a biased jerk with very little knowledge of CFB.
