Two years ago, when we played Auburn at Auburn, the score prediction thread looked exactly like this one - that is, permeated with significant double digit wins. I said the same thing I am saying now. In my 49 years as a die hard Clemson fan, that kind of away victory over an SEC opponent has NEVER happened, and it is not going to happen now. I further advised all the posters at the time that they should bet on their predictions no more than what they could afford to lose. As you know, we had to bat down a Hail Mary in the end zone to preserve a 19-13 victory.
My advice to all of you is the same as in the above Auburn case. My predicted point spread is a single digit margin that we will close out, mainly because Dabo always seems to have his teams mentally prepared to favorably close out single digit wins.
As a caveat, we need such a win coupled with A&M having a highly successful season much on the order of Auburn last year. We need marque victories to keep the committee voting in our favor. Based upon how the ACC is performing to date, I see too few places right now to find marque victories.
