after moving up and down the field for nearly 500 yards.
Streeter has had a functional QB for a whopping two games. Much improved offensive games. Basically you know nothing, nothing at all, how the offense will look with a good QB. Instead you want to blame Streeter for only winning 11 games with one of the most dysfunctional QBs in P5, if not the most.
Are you really reading anything I'm trying to get through to you?

Well, as the know it all, do you think we should instead target this conversation on the coach that was accountable for recruiting, managing, developing and selecting the starter for the QB position?
Hmmm... I wonder what sort of offensive genius we should blame for not just recruiting but also developing "one of the most dysfunctional QBs in P5."

You really ought to give it a rest about DJU. He's gone and he was hardly the worst QB out there. A competent OC would have developed a game plan around the available talent. Streeter and Dabo didn't do that. They under-utilized Mafah and pretty much ignored the middle of the field. Those 500 yards of offense resulted in 14 points. Points win games, not yardage.

Not sure what you mean? Streeter was an up and coming coach when Dabo brought him on board as a QB coach, 8 years ago. Streeter has vast experience with 20 years on the offensive side of the ball.

Please Please PLEASE tell everyone that has commented in this thread, when the H&11 has DJ ever been in charge of our office, wait, I'll answer that one myself, DJ Uiagalelei has never been in charge of our offense, he was just a player on a Dabo and Streeter run offense, and that's mostly why it has failed so miserably, there was never an attempt to design the offense for DJ's talent or skills!!!!

Monken has the best OL and TE units in the country.
Monken also has top 5 RB unit and top 25 WR unit.
Despite UGA’s just-a-bit-better-than-average QB, Monken enjoys the best power offense in all of CFB.
Furthermore, UGA has a top 5 defense, so Monken’s unit gets a LOT of at-bats.
Given those advantages at UGA, a sub-standard O-coordinator could thrive.

Let me ask you this, if Streeter had Bennett playing QB this year with Bowers and all that ridiculous amount of talent, do you think we have a better season? Better than 11 wins? Did you even notice the improvement in 2 games with a good QB, albeit growing? Do you really hold Streeter and Elliott accountable for the real reason we struggled on offense for most of the last two seasons? Did our offense look better when DJ was throwing well, like Wake? Did our offense look better when Cade, a learning true freshman, was in there. The answer is yes to both of those questions.
Streeter has been an OC at Clemson for 14 games. We won 11 of them in spite of being horrendously handcuffed at QB.
So what's your point? Let me guess, you just enjoy being a dumper and actively seeking things to complain about.
Can you at least try? Do your very best to chill out and see what the offense does with a good QB and a year older? Looked very, very promising to me when Cade was in there, no? Giving an OC a chance with a decent QB is the least any semi-knowledgable "fan" would do. Makes no sense for a backhanded effort to call out Streeter, when in reality you have no earthly idea what the offense will be capable of with a QB capable of running it.
What is it with you and the constant need to find things to complain about?

If we would have had Trevor Lawrence, the offense would have done better, but only bc his talent and skills were top notch, and he would've done well without Streeter period!!!!

Well when we won in 2016 and 2018 we have Scott and Elliott and they didn’t have much experience either. I think the difference sadly is qb. Even though Stetson is a ###### he can command their offense.

Experience does come into play. As a OC you can make the most out of your talent or you can't.
Just compare Clemson's offense to all the teams with less talent.
I like Streeter but something is missing from this offense. When teams with 2-3 star talent are way better than you there's a coaching problem. I hope they figure it out. I don't know the recruiting stats but I bet TCU is way down the list. They are better coached. I trust that Dabo will get it fixed.

Dont even compare our DC coaching experience. An Analyst converted to DC vs compared to Will Muschamp (former HC at 2 P5 teams, plus DC under Saban for years), then add Smart the DC for Bama for years both learning a ton from a great coach Saban.
The experience is absolutely total opposites on the spectrum. How does Dabo expect us to compete? We are not getting the 5*'s so we should have the 5* coordinators to help bring the players up a notch.
Just shocked Dabo seems so happily settled!

Yes, that's exactly what I've been saying from the moment I heard that Dabo appointed Streeter and Goodwin as the new OC, and DC.
When Streeters experience is looked at, his only experience as OC came from 2 years at Liberty, 2 years at Richmond. At both of those schools when the need occurs, they can get by with appointing a DB coach with a little coaching experience to the OC position. Neither of those schools are big time college FB schools where they can go and compete on a stage like we have competed on, and like UGA competed on last night against a much inferior school as TCU was, and TCU is about 3 or 4 levels above Liberty and Richmond.
Now we have Goodwin that was brought out of an office as an analyst/observer position, and he was made the DC at Clemson, a power 5 school that isn't far away from playing in 6 playoff game, 4 national championship games, and winning 2 national championship games, and that just isn't the way power 5 championship contender coaches move up through the ranks. It doesn't happen that way with success, and Dabo is on his way to proving that's a fact!!!

I would be happy with an OC that had experience and done well with teams with lesser talent. That would be an improvement. We don't have to have coordinators that has coached on NC teams. Give us a couple with experience, and with the talent that Clemson is able to bring in, and they will figure out how to make us successful!!!

It is beyond a stretch to simply say, based on one game results, that Monken credentials are why UGA won or looked good.
You pretend that this single thing is what we should be focusing on.
NO!
1. The matchup. TCU had absolutely no pass rush. They had no d- line. When you have all day, every play can get open.
2. The OC simply uses the tools he is provided. Monken, given the same tools Clemson provided this year - are you saying that Clemson would have won the natty? No, we had QB, WR, O line issues and not a plethora of amazing tight ends.
Sure Monken has experience. Seems good at his job too. But, players make plays, not OCs.
UGA had 387 yards of offense against Tennessee.
Clemson with a first time starting QB freshman - had 485.
So, does that mean Streeter is better?

We could have gotten a very good and experienced OC and DC coordinator from just about anywhere in the country. That is what makes these moves so baffling. We go with 2 coordinators with no major experience in their new positions instead of hiring someone with a proven track record. Just absolutely makes no sense at all and we see the results. So we are stuck with them because we need to prove, somehow, that this experiment worked. Utterly confusing.
