Is anyone else scared

Mar 4, 2013, 5:21 PM

of how good we will be on offense this year? I was looking at the numbers since "The Chad" got here and im blown away at what we have done the past 2 years. We have broken every record except for most points scored in a game. Screw being a top 10 offense, we will be number 1.

Morris' offense puts up some impressive numbers. Georgia's offense broke many records as well last season and we do not have to replace our center, our RB, two WRs or our TE. Gonna be a good one.

Our center for this season will be more than capable, our RB's will be fine, and we'll have someone step up in Ford's place at TE. Hopkins will be harder to replace as an individual, but we have several other guys that can combine to make up for the loss.

Don't worry, our offense will stall when we go down to

Columbia. Just like last year and the year before.

I agree we need to put up better numbers against good teams but I do think we find a way to win in Cootville this year.

Go to the Coot board with your negativity!

If we're going to talk about SCU as an example of

the bad, then we have to talk about LSU as an example of the good.

No, the offense isn't unstoppable. But yes, it is very, very good.

I'm more scared about how good our opponents will be on

Mar 4, 2013, 6:38 PM

offense this year.

I was looking at the numbers since "The Chad" got here and I'm somewhat blown away at what our opponents have done!

That being said, if our bowl game is any indication of our progress defensively maybe every game won't be a shootout. But if it is, it'll certainly be exciting! I think I'll have my fingers crossed all year that we don't miss blocks like how nobody blocked Clowney in the Outback. Seems like every time I think of Tajh I also think of RGIII n' his funked up leg.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Would be mor concerned

Mar 4, 2013, 7:53 PM

Yeah, I'd be more concerned about the defense maintaining where it left off at. And that's coming from a gamecock, your offense will be fine but it has to get help from the defense against better teams. But then again you can't expect to score 45+ against above average defenses either.

Re: Isaiah Battle

Mar 4, 2013, 8:10 PM

Isaiah Battle may be a cure for that ailment - - He seemed to take care of business in the Peach Bowl. LSU supposedly had the best DE's in the League.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not scared and happy about both offense and defense.

Mar 4, 2013, 8:16 PM

And we will be better on both sides of the ball. Venables has his defense installed and more talent! LSU beat Usuck last year and Usuck beat Ga.

Every DC on our schedule has to be scared shootless.

Mar 4, 2013, 10:37 PM

I think we can expect Tajh's improvement to be as great as it was between his first and second year.

He'll make his decisions quicker and torture linebackers with his speed.
