Trump drove out today to buy some eggs and gas and said eggs are .99 for 12 and super unleaded is 1.49 a gallon.

Got it for $2.49 once a week for last 3 weeks in Abbeville at the same store- other places went up and down by 20 to 30 cents several times in the same 3 weeks

Could the price increase have something to do with the fact that gas prices go up every Memorial Day weekend because it is a high travel weekend? My sense is this is all businesses setting prices higher because more cars are on the road. Not sure it has anything to do with politics. Just a guess.

ClemsonJacket I’d say you are correct. Prices will go back down on Tues but none of the libs here will comment on that. Oh yeah and Big Oil profits will go up from 1 cent a gallon to 2 cents for 3-4 days. Obscene profit margins for sure

We had been as low as $2.39 in Easley last week. Jumped to $2.74 at the same Ingles on Friday. Was back down to $2.59 yesterday and I’m pretty sure it will be lower again by mid week. Retailers always jack it up on holiday travel weekends. Nothing different about that except the starting point before the holiday.
