Maybe this will be a "wake up" call then. We all need one sometimes.

I always wondered why he looked bloated. Guess it’s from the booze. 🥃

Yeah, who knows T_I_P, I'm sure there's plenty of students who are resentful of all the athletes that get the preferred treatment... not talking law enforcement, just perks like paw journey, nil, cars, tutoring et al.

Way back when in the 60s and 70s, most athletes were closer to regular students and I'd see them partying and never thought twice. We all knew professors gave them a wink and a nod. That said, I remember some students that were a little jealous of the preference.

Then again, there was no social media. Just jocks, a few that were dbags. I do hope this serves as a wake-up call and he gains some maturity. Despite what a couple say on here, Dabo is the Master at turning young people into men.

Thank you. TU for you. That is what I was saying. Dabo will use this in positive way through discipline and teaching.

No social media back then and I partied with athletes quite a bit in the 80's. Mostly the wrestling team but a lot of football players as well. A good many of them smoked pot and a good friend of mine was their dealer. For the most part almost all were good people but the more "famous" they were the more arrogant and rules don't apply to me attitudes they had which is understandable. Anyone that goes downtown or knows someone that does has heard the gossip for several years about Ian. Allegedly he likes fast cars, young ladies, and partying. I'm surprised it took this long for something like this arrest to happen.

The idea $%#@ doesn't stink if it comes from an athlete is just stupid. My granddaughter started Clemson last week and I would not feel good for her if athletes were given a free pass. If you do the crime, you do the time.

Look at the police report. He was not driving a corvette. He was driving an Audi with Georgia tags. Funny how everyone is calling him out. We have all done things that we were lucky to survive. Sure, he was wrong and should be punished. As Dabo said thankfully no one was hurt. Some of the people on this board need to get the logs out of their eyes..

In his defense if I had a C8 I'd be driving it like a ####### too. That's what those cars are made to do.

I've done things behind the wheel of a car, that I could have been killed, or worse, killed someone else. At the very least, I should have went to jail, and I would have rightfully deserved it. I hope he has figured out how stupid it is to DUI.

Has anybody ever got caught for DD the very first time? Probably not. Having said that if hes spending his evenings drunk and breaking the law then perhaps this experiment needs to end.

Last couple years my had daughter had joked that she wondered if Ian was stalking her. He’d arrive in Triple and couple other places she went to with friends on the weekends. She never mentioned him appearing silly drunk, so can’t say he’s been out driving recklessly.

Let me just say this, it’s been well-known for awhile now that he’s downtown all the time. Not trying to beat a dead horse here but this news wasn’t very surprising for a lot of people.
