in Pinehurst, NC is underway.
We were having trouble accessing their online Leaderboard, until Pinehurst, Inc replied to an email.
Their instructions were simple: “ The GGID code for the Golf Genius app is 121WNS. Here is the link as well: https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/4233521 “
Hopefully this will get everyone interested into the Leaderboard!!!
As Clemgalalways® stated yesterday, we have 5 TIGERS in the Field for this prestigious amateur tournament (121 years!!!). They are Listed in “FAVORITES” in the attachment.

Seems to be working now even without the code. Once you emailed, I did too. Thanks again.

Any idea why Chloe Holder isn’t in the mix? Could we only bring 5 Participants?
I know Coach Hester, at times, has “internal qualifiers” for our gals . . . was this the case? Thought you might have some “motherly insight” from your twitter contacts . . .

No insight. My bad, I was thinking about Sydney Roberts. Her baby sister just camped at Clemson. She's going to app st to golf. Not sure what Chloe is doing. She hasn't been active on social media.

Skeeta, I don't think it is restricted to any number of players from a particular school, as I don't think university affiliation plays a part (could be wrong). There are all kind of exemptions for players that want to get into the field and are invited to play and they take so many non-exempt players. I would think most of our players would be exempt or be highly considered as a non-exempt player.

Keep in mind . . . the GOAL of the 1st Two Days (Stroke Play Portion) is to finish in the Top 32 . . . This will get you into the Match Play Portion of the Tournament.

True dat. Melena with the par 5 double bogey. What is it with this team and par 5's. They had problems in the national.

She must have played #4 as the #2 hole on course #2 is a Par 4. Actually the second hole on #4 is a really short hole for a modern golf course. I have not played it since the remodel so I don not know what may be tricky about it ...... if anything.
Annabelle has some work to get to match play, but think she can do it with a good round. Most of the leaders played #4, as did Annabelle, so she is going to have to make up strokes on the more difficult of the two courses. I always feel good about Annabelle when she gets to match play, but she has work to do to get there.

the Gals ALL played Pinehurst #4 today . . . and ALL will play Pinehurst #2 tomorrow . . . the Field was not split.
Kudos to Katherine, Savannah and Isabella!!! Their sub-par rounds have them in the Top 22 . . . Annabelle, sitting at +2 (54th Place) will need to make up at least 2 strokes on the Field tomorrow . . . as 32nd Place is sitting at Even Par . . . Melena will need to shoot the round of her life to make it into Match Play . . . anything is possible!!!
***Side note: The UVA Sophomore and Pinehurst Resident, Amanda Sambach shot +1 today. She committed to the Hoos when she was in the 8th Grade!!! Many will remember her from the ACC Tournament up in Greensboro @ Sedgefield CC, where she won the ACC's Individual Championship with a score of 14 Under (the lowest total in the 35-year history of the championship). She came from behind to beat Annabelle in the Championship Match 2&1.

My bad Skeeta ...... was looking at the scores and not paying attentions that the "4"s were birdies. I'm kind of surprised that there were not more birdies, but then again, I have not played it since the remodel and do not know how tough it plays. #2 will give the girls some great chances to make up strokes, as well as take them away. I've played it many times and one of my favorite courses in the world.

#4 once and #8 4 times . . . #8 was by far the hardest for me . . . much harder than #2 or else I just played better on #2!!!
Not a problem TigerLinks® . . . I wouldn’t have know it had I not read it on their Information Page.
Our Gals Tee Times for Wednesday are in the attachment.

Duke's going to be a force this year. 3 players were t22 or better. Including the 1st and 2nd place. The Asian women must be attracted to med schools and tech schools out west... I know, shocker.

Isabella and Kat have been playing some really good golf this summer. Kat ballooned to an 81 her last tournament but was right in it until then.
Issy with the double on 18, ugh. Broke my heart. Great the way Savannah gutted out a-2. I feel pretty good with Annabelle with everyone playing #2 tomorrow. This is Melena's first tournament since the Nationals... glad she tied for the trophy on the Barefoot classic one day event. If she can keep her drives in the short grass, she can go low. But she's got a lot of work to do.
It will get interesting come fall. Melena will have competition from Kat and Sydney. Syds had a good summer. Great for Hester to have the options. Interesting to see how ivy Schultz develops as well.
