If Dabo left, I bet he'd recommend Elliott

Tony wouldn't be the most qualified, but it would be very similar to what Bowden did with him (even if the circumstances were different). Not sure DRad would have the guts to pull that trigger though and we'd possibly lose BV who'd be ticked for being passed over. I think I'd kinda like it though. Tony is potentially Dabo 2.0 if the University and alumni like that mold.

Taking away nothing from Tony Elliot, who is going to be a great head coach one day, but in my eyes Venables is the Head Coach In Waiting at Clemson. And quite frankly we need to pay that man whatever it takes to keep him here.

I'm sure he'll be the big stick as far as coaching if Dabo leaves. He's probably turned down two or three HCing jobs since he came to Clemson.

But I bet if he were offered an in-house promotion, he would take it.

Seems like it lasted for ever. Perhaps we can just reinstate him or entice him with another ridiculous contract. Say.

And I thought Tommy West was available. Dang it.
ok - I'm kidding. But TW would have been a really good DC at UAB had they kept him, and kept the team.

If that's the case, we could end up with a big Dabo statue outside the stadium one day along with a handful of national championship banners hanging around the stadium.
Statue ideas? I'd recommend the inclusion of a tiny Spurrier tossing a tiny visor while stomping on a tiny banner of himself.
