It really disgusts me as a Clemson fan and former Clemson sprinter the things that are coming out of some of your mouths about Dabo and the football team. First of, one bad season is not the end of the world. I know we say that he set a standard and want that standard to stay. How would you feel if you set a standard at your job and had a bad week, and people who know you say that you aren't living up to that standard and need to be fired...after having been good for years. Everyone is entitled to have off days or games. It comes with the territory. Doesn't mean that you should just cut loose someone who is capable of making things happen. Quit being spoiled and let things happen. The man has had a down year before and found the pieces to get everything back together. Most of you complaining are probably the ones who have only followed the team since Dabo took over. One bad year doesn't mean the end of the world. Just means there is another opportunity to make great things happen.

We are 9th in wins since 2021 with only one sub-10 win season. We are the only team with 14 seasons with 9 plus win seasons and that’s happened once.
This season excluded, and it’s not done yet, may continue that streak, but there is no downward trend. That’s a false statement.
We are one of the most consistent winners in the college game. No, we haven’t been “elite” since 2020, but the trend is a flat line that amounts to 9th in wins since 2021. That’s literally just on the cusp of “elite” if you want to consider the top 8 winners as elite.
Not counting those season yet, but there hasn’t been any downward trend over the past 4 season. It’s a flat line.

Nothing at all dumb saying the primary issue facing our program is the QB.
We’d literally be 3-1 or 4-0 with even an above average QB. Cade is 91st in QBR, hence we are 1-3.
If you’d like to debate the merits of having a good QB in order to succeed, then state your case.
Otherwise that makes YOU the dummy.

Stats are great and all. But who did most of those wins come against? Inferior, weak ACC teams. The very conference Clemson is trying to leave. If Clemaon wasn't in the ACC, the spiral down would have been at a much faster rate.

9th in wins. 11th in ranked wins.
Now imagine if we had that great QB. We’d have a lot more wins if we had an above average qb play. If DJ and Cade played up to their #1 and #2 national rankings, then things would have been significantly different. Top 8 for sure.
DJ was hard to watch in 2021. DJ played better in 2022. Almost made the 4 team playoff. In 2023, it became pretty clear we didn’t have that out of the box ready guy we saw in the elite years. Cade was a developmental guy. In 2024 Cade improved tremendously. Couldn’t stop the run. In 2025, Cade has at least momentarily lost his head.
2020: 8th QBR. 2021: 95th QBR. 2022: 54th QBR 2023: 69th QBR. 2024: 15th QBR. 2025: 91st QBR.
See the trend? There are no great teams with rankings like that. The great teams have great QBs. It sucks QB hasn’t worked out as we thought it would when we signed the #1 and #2 QBs. Heck we thought we were just gonna keep rolling along.
Maybe Cade can relax and find his game. I hope he can. I’ve seen him do it just last season. so I know he’s capable.

If you knew someone for 15 years and they were healthy as 30 bulls put together for as long as you known them. That person that you know may get sick a day or two...then be back to normal for a long period of time...... again healthy as 30 bulls.
Then later on in time this healthy person you know.....has been not quite himself lately. They don't look the same.....they don't move the same....they don't act the same...... they're missing on things that they usually hit. You're going to dig and pry because you are the friend of this person that you have known. That is a natural reaction.
You ever seen a guy happy when he is married to a woman????? Then when he loses that woman to death or divorce....that guy is not the same......not living right.....in constant grievance.....loss of passion for things he once had passion for....or basically just showing the signs of depression without knowing that they are showing people these characteristics .... symptoms or acts that don't show the best versions of them.
Again imagine this not going on for a day or two out of a 8 month span......but is going on ...at a weekly basis of an 8 month span. So when we see signs of deterioration at a somewhat rapid rate that has never really been............its when you see something...say something...right???????

Dude, what are you even talking about?
You’re talking like people want Dabo put in jail or something. What most are saying and including me is it’s time to move on from Dabo. With that being said most here don’t want him fired. For myself I just think it’s time for him to go ahead and resign. We can put up a statue and remember the good old days of Dabo. But I think it’s time to turn the page and move on. Start fresh.
I do not believe Dabo will change the way he coaches, recruits, and his view on the NIL. I just really don’t. Love Dabo Swinney. Absolutely love him. I just still think it’s time to move on.
You don’t think so, that’s fine. You’re entitled to your opinion. But calling out other fans like we’re less than a fan than you because we feel this way is not how to go about it.

Fans who are impatient and cannot see the big picture and all of the negative influences on college football.
It’s all Dabo’s fault. I say BS ! It’s many factors influencing pay for play football. 🏈

We recruited QBs very, very well obviously.
Anyone with half a brain understands the QB is the most important position on the field and when the QB doesn’t perform then you’re not going to be great. The QB has been the primary issue leading us to only 9th in wins in the last 4 seasons .
It simply cannot be factually argued otherwise.

Cantrell, you can’t be serious! You can’t be so naive as to think Dabo owes it to you to walk away from $60,000,000.00 just so you can feel good about yourself. And if you are that naive, you may be the most arrogant human I’ve ever encountered. This isn’t the “backyard clubhouse gang” you are asking someone to walk away from. This is the man’s livelihood. And we so valued his services a few years back that we ensured he would not walk away empty handed. It’s a legally binding contract and Clemson University needs to fulfill its end of the bargain. If Clemson University no longer desire his services, the University needs to come up with the cash! You need to put down whatever kind of peace pipe you’ve been smoking and come back to reality!

It’s his “livelihood”?
Like if he walked away or got fired he has nothing? Are you serious?
This has to be really bad sarcasm.
There is no way you actually believe we’d be or he’d be taking his livelihood away if we fired him or he walked.
Dabo is set for life bro. He never has to work another day in his life. Dabo will be just fine either way. At this point… he’s actually legally robbing Clemson bc the ROI ain’t looking so hot nowadays.
If he had the integrity many of you claim… he’d look in the mirror… realize the game has passed him by and he’d walk away on his own and leave us to pick up the pieces from the former powerhouse that he built and then directly destroyed bc of his own pride.

TigerRag, nothing in my post implies that Dabo is hurting for money. The point, and I made it clearly, is that this is business. It's not as though Dabo took adavantage of Clemson University when he signed that long term contract. Lawyers were present on both sides. You sound like a Gen X'er who believes taxpayers should pay off your student loans. The University saw value in securing Dabo's services long term. They did so with a guarantee of big bucks. But you think since Dabo is a moral man, he should also be a stupid man and let CU off the hook for $60 mil. As I said before, you can't be that naive unless, in fact, you are a Gen X'er. And if you are, "No, I won't pay off your student loans!" You signed the contract. Keep your word! CU will do the same thing, and so will Dabo. Go Tigers!

It’s incredible how someone can be this disillusioned. This program has been headed downhill for five years and is about to bottom out. If you are seeing anything else you are denying reality for the sake of blind belief. No, we are not a great QB away. If we had a great QB he’d be sitting on the bench so that Cade can start. The defense getting demolished has nothing to do with Cade. The lack of development on the o-line has nothing to do with Cade. It all falls on the person who actually has control over the coaching staff and roster … DABO.

Uh huh. Who’s responsible for getting a quality QB? Who’s responsible for getting the talent around him? We lost 3 games in 2021 and 2022, 4 games in 2023 and 2024, and now three already. It’s about trajectory and knowing this team will continue sliding downhill due to the pride and weird morality of our head coach. Also, let’s not pretend going 10-3 in the ACC is anywhere close to “best is the standard”

I agree 100%. I have never heard so much evil directed toward a man that is the goat of Clemson Football. Everyone has a bad day at the golf course or at work. This is a great Christian man that has given us all the greatest moments we have ever had in Clemson Football and find it with dignity. It is obvious many of you have a soul owned by Satan spewing out your hatred. This certainly is not the fan base I grew up with over the years that helped get Clemson to where it is today. I’m ashamed of many of this young crowd . Frank Howard, Danny Ford, and Dabo would say to you to find yourself another team to spew your hatred on.

I’m ashamed that I actually took the time to read that garbage you’re spewing?
We’re satan bc we can the truth? Are you kidding me?
Only a self righteous ######### would claim such things about a friggin football coach.
Man look… nobody but people like you give 2 s*it’s about whether Dabo is a good Christian man. I have no doubt he is but that doesn’t matter when we’re talking about football.
His job is to win football games at the HIGHEST level bc he’s paid at the HIGHEST level.
You don’t get to coast on accomplishments from 10 years ago when theirs a clear downward trend over half a decade now.
So I’m sorry but this has nothing to do with whether he’s a good Christian man.
It has everything to do with the fact that he’s become a bad football coach bc of his own pride and handicapping what was once THE PREMIER PROGRAM IN ALL OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL!
Every single bit of this is his fault… now is he alone? Nope not at all but he’s the head man and it falls on him period. He CHOSE to do this. Nobody forced him. Every decision was his and his alone to make. Now he looks like a complete moron bc the rest of college football… literally every single other HC in America except the military schools and us… figured this out 4/5 years ago.
