NO way should SC be ranked

They only have 1 win over a team with a winning record, Kentucky (who lost their QB mid week leading up to the game, among other players).
Wins
GA State (2-5) -
Charlotte (1-7) - Just fired their coach
SC State (3-4) - FCS
UK (5-2) - Lost their QB mid week
A&M (3-4) Who only has wins over Sam Houston, Arkansas and Miss St.
Total - 14-22
Loses
Ark - 4-3
UGA - 7-0
Total - 11-3
Total (all) - 25-25
Can you say mediocre?

They will fall out of top 25 before we face them, but you are correct; Facing a 6 or 7 win SCAR team is better for our SOS opposed to one that is 4-7.

They've only played 3 teams with a winning record, and lost 2 of 3.
Not sure why we need them to help our SOS. We've played 3 teams that are still 6-1, 6-1 or 6-2 and another 5-2 team as well. Our Current is plenty SOS is 24th.
Unless UNC craps the bed, we'll face them in the ACC Championship and they'll be ranked too.

Stop being so scared of them. I swear people with their Coot crap and nonsensical concern over a loser program is so weird. While people worry about the “Coots”, you should worry about the path to winning again in the postseason.

I think the pollsters are looking at three things:

their 5-2 total, the win over Kentucky and the win over TAMU.
They have five games left, and of those, I wouldn't be surprised to see them beat Mo,Vandy, possibly Florida. Losses to the Vols and us. Thus, they wind up at 7-5 or 8-4, which is respectable enough as Beamer tries to build. Compared/contrasted to other programs within the top 25, particularly Tulane, I can see how they're ranked.

I can honestly say they don’t concern me in the slightest. When I’ve seen them, they have looked god awful so I don’t even watch them to much. Can’t think they had any business beating UK though. They were without their starter at QB so does that even count in your mind? They may score against Clemson this year who knows. Bad team. More concerned with road games remaining and probable ACC title game against a UNC team with a dude at QB.

Just who ever is on a few game streak at the time gets ranked

They looked pretty solid against the fighting jimbo$ of TAMU. They should not be taken lightly. Still the most important game if the year, politically speaking.
