This is what I think will prove whether our team was hyped by the media or not. We are ranked #4...if we lose to LSU and our rank drops out of the top ten then it was all hype and none of those ranking us really believed we are that good instead of them thinking LSU was better than they thought. This opposed to losing and just dropping a couple spots like they do with their favorites.

Now when we win, that gets the SEC monkey off our back and all those media types will lean back and put their hand on the front of their belt, snort, and say, "Yep, never doubted Clemson for a minute."

For 3 weeks tops.. tops... espn will prop clemson.

At Week 4 they will start the sec hype train to get 16 sec teams into the playoffs and downplay clemson.

Every year espn aka epsec loses respect and relevance. Most of their so called analysts are biased incompetent announcers or whatever they call themselves. cbs, abc and many other media outlets pocket that sec and Big10 $$$$$$ while boasting about certain teams.

It seems to me that Alabama is in that many conversations about CFP’s. I wonder how much Saban’s retirement cost bama and epsec ?? $$$ ???????

It also depends somewhat on how we play. If we look great and lose, I think we could stay in top 10. But we need to win, so we don't have to worry about it and will get the SEC monkey off our back and maintain the respect we have been getting this off season.

The story has been preordained. If it is a 35-34 score, our defense is lousy and still needs fixing. If it is a 14-13 score Klubnik is over rated and our OL sucks.

The only way we benefit is by winning.
