No matter what, William Swinney is

SPECIAL.
Calling for his head is crazy. He has "it." He brought in Morris, is a great motivator, homerun recruiter...and he loves Clemson. He is relentless himself.
Venables...it is too soon to blame him. I am, as much as anyone, so very disappointed and exasperated in this defense. It's inexplicable, but it is too soon to judge the coaching job. Make no mistake, though: That is definitely an area Dabo needs to focus on.
We have come a long way under Dabo. He needs our support...as do the rest of the staff and the players.
We have a lot of football left to play, and we need to let the players have no doubt we are still there, cheering them on to wins. No quitting EVER. A one-loss season would be very successful and something to continue to build on.

If our d can figure things out it will be hard for anyone to beat us, period. We may just not have the talent, I don't know.

A coach who is in over his head would have never won the division, then the next year the conference championship, get the #1 recruit in the country, have the balls to fire coaches fast and get the right ones quickly. Dabo is changing Clemson for the better in many ways. You are a moron.

Although I agree Dabo has done a good job and is a good fit for Clemson, I think Clemson alumni have been lied to and screwed by the BOT & Administration (for years) and they deserve better. (from both)
* I think Dabo & Morris have exceeded their respective job descriptions.

Good post. I don't post much and haven't in probably two years. We have a coach with fire. Tommy mentioned the swagger that Jimbo was bringing back to FSU and I would say Dabo is bringing the swagger we haven't had since the late 80's/early 90's. I was so frustrated with our d but the problem is youth and depth. Our offense can hold it's own. Just wish we hadn't abandoned the run so early. We could have won that game but we didn't. There is still plenty to play for. I'm proud of our team, our coach, our fans, and I'm confident our program is turning the corner. We need more depth and more talent, and quite honestly a little patience with our staff. You can't expect a huge change by just hiring a new coordinator. Give him (Venables) time. At least he likes recruiting. He'll get his guys.

Good post. You said it perfectly. We need to stay behind the team and continue recruitng. The best is yet to come. Personally I don't like the coots who post here and try to stir things up. If you don't want to support the team just go away and find you another band wagon to jump on.

We have the opportunity to be a better team this year than last year. Even though we might not win the championship, we can win out. No reason why we can't.
