Brad is also unlovable.
And that's the problem with Brad.
If coaches were shoes, Brad would be Hey Dudes. Clemson's paying tens of millions of dollars for a pair of Hey Dudes.
This is not a commentary on the man as a human. I am sure he is a good man. This is strictly Brad the coach.
Many get upset when Brad the coach is not given the same benefit of a doubt as a coach who has won nine ACC titles and two national championships.
They get even more upset when Brad, who has been at Clemson for 15 years, is compared with the coach who, in those same 15 years, managed to take a program barely capable of winning 8 games a season and turning it into a nine ACC title and two national championship-winner.
People who get upset about these things can't be reasoned with.
So it's best not to try.

The bottom line is:
Brad = Safe
At some point though, the price you pay for “safe” exceeds the value of “safe”. We find ourselves very close to that line now, if we haven’t already crossed it.

The bottom line is:
Brad = Safe
At some point though, the price you pay for “safe” exceeds the value of “safe”. We find ourselves very close to that line now, if we haven’t already crossed it.
20+ wins three years in a row plus two tournament invites plus an elite eight appearance is hardly the safety choice given no other coach has come close to this run in a hundred history. Sure we could cycle through coaches like the other ACC teams who have nothing to show for it or go all in on NIL like the SEC teams but with the new agreement that may be obsolete.

to being prepared. All after fighting so hard all year, and doing such a great job to get there. There is no excuse, and no getting around it. I don't have the answer, but this ending shouldn't be just shrugged off.

Based on multiple metrics.
Losing to McNeese State doesn’t change that fact, and our “fans” here who want to act like we suck because of one game don’t seem to be actual Clemson basketball fans.

ACC basketball in 2025 was simply a pile of garbage and being near the top of it is not impressive. Results say that both in polls and NCAA selection, the ACC including Clemson was significantly overrated.
