We play USC every year and just signed a 9 or 10 year deal with ND. I guess we will play 11 power games and one non power.
I guess 7 home games will be a thing in the past every other year.

Not necessarily until we know how it will work and how the coot and ND games fall on the schedule.

The games against UGA and OU will probably be canceled including the mid major G5 opponent. I don't see the FCS (Furman, Citadel. Wofford) game going away.

No more LSU or UGA on the schedule. At least not until the SuperLeague comes into existense (2030ish).

All the other 3 power conferences are going to 9. It's the new wave that you have to except being a Power 4.
The one team playing 8 each season will have to play two other Power Conference teams that year. That sounds like it's right thing to do.

Hopefully we can cancel some of our upcoming games against “real” competition and focus on truly getting better before the 2030 (ish) season when we actually join a real football conference.

I would rather play another ACC team. As bad as we are, I’m not even sure that gives us a 50/50 chance at a win!
I do know one thing. A 9 game schedule in the SEC would equal at least 6 if not 7 or 8 losses.

I’ve always wanted to join the SEC. Still do but we have a LONG ways to go before we’re ready. We better get there before 2030 or otherwise we’ll be the worst team in the conference. Believe me, everyone would love to beat “mighty” Clemson and would be playing their best game against us.
